What is the Blues magazine like in terms of content and quality?? I currently subscribe to fourfourtwo but my subscription runs out this month and am changing it to the Blues magazine. Is it well put together and in depth or is it more like a shoot magazine ??

I took out a subscription for the first time last month & I think that it's great value for £2.95.

64 pages, glossy. Paper quality similar to the match programme.

A couple of in-depth player interviews - Izzet, Butt & Forssell (sounds like a dodgy firm of solicitors  ) this month...

Fan surveys...

Posters, some kids stuff...

Interviews with backroom staff.... 4 page interview with Stewart Hall this month, pity they didn't ask "are you planning to b*gger off in the near future ?"

Nostalgia stuff... Roger Hynd (now there was a centre half !), Fairs Cup Final vs Barcelona, Steve Claridge feature...

Round up of recent match reports...

Ramblings from the forum....

Like I say, pretty good for £2.95.

Forgot to mention, if anyone wants to subscribe, just call 01225 899975.

It's £29.50 for a year - 12 copies for the price of ten including free P+P

+ anyone subscribing by the end of September will be entered into a draw to win a free shirt signed by the first team.

I subscribed to it last month, well and worth the money and it cuts out the hassle of trying to find somewhere that stocks it as well!

This is my second year of subscription. They have always arrived on time. I really do think that for 3 quid a month it is superb. Especially if you, like me, do not bother buying match programmes. The player interviews are the best, very in depth and honest, and if you have kids like mine, the posters are great as well.

The articles about our history are superb, and at the end of the season you will have a comprehensive report of every match played.

Actually, come to think of it, and considering this is a Blues product, I cannot actually think of anything to moan about - so that must tell you something !! :D

Cheers.

Tell all your mates!

I'm a Blues season ticket holder; so is the guy I run the magazine with and pretty much everyone who writes for it are Blues fans so hopefully a bit of the passion comes through.

Have to agree, great value and quality all round coverage.
I am not familiar with other clubs mags, but if they are as good as this, then I am surprised there are any left on the shelves.

The match day programme costs £3, the Blues mag is cheaper and 10 times the coverage for less money!

Good luck wiltshire bluenose. A quality production and run by Blues fans, it doesn't get better than that. Goes to show that True Bluenoses know what the fans want. I have to admit I didn't realise it was produced by True Bluenoses, I thought it must be a large organisation, given the quality. Are you not part of a big publishing conglomerate?

Great Publication.

Thanks for that.

Big publishing congromerate! It's basically three of us who put the magazine together - all Blues fans. Myself, Eric Partridge and our designer, Martin Burnett, with help from a few Blues fans who contribute articles etc.

When the previous publishers pulled out, Eric and I approached the club to re-start the magazine. We are both journalists/publishers and thought as Blues fans we could do a decent job.

We set up a company to publish the magazine and run it alongside our other jobs.

We're always keen to get feedback from other Blues fans about what they want in the magazine and how we can develop it.

You can email me at editorial@bluesmagazine.co.uk

Cheers for that.

Ever thought about appearing in the magazine. We run a couple of columns - True Blue and Blue View - where we get input from fans.

If you're interested - or if anyone else is interested - just drop me a line at editorial@bluesmagazine.co.uk and I'll send the questions onto you.

Ha! The things people will say just to try to get in Blues magazine.

Well I bought it and think it's overpriced rubbish. It's all been written before many times. Just rehashed trash.

I bet you don't print this in the magazine. :D

Overpriced? £2.95 - it's cheaper than the programme and about the price of a pint! (Even cheaper if you subscribe).

Re-hashed? Our interview with Jermaine Pennant last month had large parts of it re-hashed in the Mirror, the Sun and other national newspapers with no acknowledgement that the quotes came from Blues Magazine.

We carry exclusive interviews with players and ex-players, backroom staff and academy players, in-depth features, historical articles on the club's history, match reports, in-put from fans, plus large posters. Pretty good value for £2.95.
