Give the man time, i dont think hes better than the fors or heskey but he may come good from the bench and to cover. He has brilliant technique..remeber that shot at man u? just needs time to settle and gain form. |

"Give theman time" "He tries really hard" "He's new to English football" "He puts in a lot of effort" Pants-diani if you ask me. I would rather have kept Morrison. If the above attributes were not good enough for Morrison, John or Blake, why should they be good enough for Pandiani? As many have said before, it's goals we need not effort. As for his effort, Pandiani needs to make more effort to actually partner Heskey instead of pretending he is up front on his own. We have a great squad of players who are capable of winning things and pushing on up the table but I do not rate Pandiani as highly as others seem to do. Just because he scored goals for other teams doesn't mean he'll be brilliant for us. He's had long enough to settle in. He had 13 games last season with this squad so should know them and the way they play by now. |

Pandiani has played a small part in the games so far this season (mainly out of position or unsupported) and has had to be the sub to cover for other people's lack of fitness/recovering from injury etc. Give the guy a break for god sake!!! So far this season he has been used- he has in no way been given the opportunity and support to shine. YOU CANNOT JUDGE HIS PERFORMANCE FROM HIS CONTRIBUTION SO FAR THIS SEASON!! Don't make him the scapegoat while the others are getting fit! <_< |

People are very quick to forget he didnt have any pre-season whatsoever, i doubt hes even 70% matchfit yet hes still given his all in the games hes played. Against Man City in the first half his passing was top class and was linking up superbly with Forssell. Pandiani is a great player but we need to realise his strenghs are his finishing and the rarther handy knack of scoreing important goals in the big games. He is however useless at playing the lone striker role or running at defenders. Pandiani is a goalscorer but he should only play with a pacey striker alongside him, he is basically the replacement for Heskey, he most definately isnt a replacement for Forssell. |

Pandiani might be a goalscorer so why is it, whenever I've seen him partner Heskey he's looked like he hasn't realised Heskey's on the pitch? Whenever Heskey knocks it down Pandiani is nowhere near. Whenever Heskey is in prime position for a shot froma nock down Pandiani hasn't got the vision to find him. Morrison was very good at doing both of these things with both Heskey and Forssell. |

K-bek- its not many times I disagree with you but today I am! The guy has come from a different country with a different type of play, he has played through injury (towards the end of last season), he's had very little time to train in the different techniques of the premiership, he's had very little pre-season, he has trained with a new forward (Forsell), so far this season he has been used as a sub, he has played on his own up-front with no support, he has not played with the Hesk or Forsell. Its like they have forgotton his skills and just used him as the third striker so far...if we give him the time, training and suport he needs- you will see class. Don't criticise the guy before he has really had a chance!!! |

Couldn't have put it better myself. I get some stick for questioning our manager's tactical ability despite 18-months of pretty poor football. Yet people want to write Pandiani off after a handful of games. He may not be in the best of form or fitness right now, but that's only temporary. The guy is class. Class is permanent. |

I have based my opinion on what I saw of him last season and IMO he was fit enough and sharp enough then. He hasnt' done anything to make me think otherwise yet. I do, sincerely, hope he proves me wrong but I don't want to see him in the 1st 11 in front of Heskey or Forssell. Why hasn't he recovered from injury and kept himself fit over the summer? If he has let himself go knowing he wasn't going to get a full pre season he has the wrong attitude and won't improve no matter what. There is no reason he couldn't have gone to the gym and stayed fit. Match fitness is another matter of course but I just don't see the genius others seem to see. As for playing up front on his own, it's been unavoidable through injury to Heskey and Forssell's recovery. Like I said, I hope I'm proven wrong but I can't see him as anything other than 3rd choice. |

I agree that at the moment he is third choice behind Hesk and the Force- but I do question a few things you have said... He joined us in January after not playing recently for Deportivo (disadvantage already!!). He played with Heskey from January and his score ratio was quite good overall! He was injured from the WBA game onwards last season (ankle injury where he was still playing while having steroid injections!!!!)- maybe he shouldn't have played and then he may not have been criticised so much!!!! He is still really a newcomer to premiership footabll really!!! All of the team are not matchfit- they have ALL been cr@p since the beginning of the season and they have had a pre-season with Blues.- he hasn't had a pre-season with Blues so would be understandably under-par! While Pandiani probably kept himself fit over the summer-nothing compares to 'match-fitness' His role so far this season has been insulting to his skill. He has been used when Heskey and the Forse have not been able to play and he has not had the support they have had!! Ok- if he has played in a full supporting role with the Hesk and the Force until January and he is has not shown his class I will apologise and say you were right....but really it is far too early to say and I don't think its useful to criticise a player when he hasn't had a full chance to show his ability yet! Sorry K-bek I normally agree with you but not today!!! |

It's fine mandy, we're here to air our opinions :-) As for Pandiani's goals ratio last season, he scored 4 goals in 13 games. Morrison scored 4 goals in 13 games too. So, I ask again, if the attributes of Pandiani were not good enough from Morrison, why is it acceptable from Pandiani? For me, Morrison was more valuable just for the way Heskey brightened up every time Morrison came onto the pitch and for the way Forssell recognised the help Morrison gave him in scoring 19 goals for us 2 seasons ago. |

Heskey & Pandiani dont work together because they both play virtually the same role, they just dont compliment each others games at all. Pandiani has a proven record of scoring goals against any team you care to mention, lets give the guy a chance. Forssell hasnt scored for us either but no-one is giving him a hard time. |

Forssell scored 19 goals for us with Morrison as his partner. Agree with Pandiani and Heskey, they need soemone there to compliment them. |
