Sorry folks, but three home defeats on the bounce is unacceptable. Especially against teams we have a realistic chance of beating.

Its not that that hurts though, its the manner of the defeats. 3 wet lettuce performances on the trot. And lets not get carried away by the baggies debacle either, we ended up being lucky to hold on.

So, what now then? We have promises from the board about big name sigings and actually get jack !"£$, even the Vile and the baggies spent better than we did. We have promises from brucie about "attacking" football being more of the norm this season and what do we get? You got it, jack !"£$.

We are in for a very long hard struggle this season, on current form we are not progressing, we are regressing.

Its a good job it is only early days or we would defo be up the creek without a paddle. I say make changes sooner rather than in jan when were bottom with just 10 points to our name.

Our board need to wake up, they need to realise that they cant keep *********us fans with false promises, delivering very little and putting steve bruce in charge of it.

Rant over.

Tin hat on........

I wouldn't blame the board, they have backed SB now for a good while, personally IMO the lack of money spent comes down to a trust factor i feel. I don't think they wish to provide SB with lots of funds as they lack confidence in his spending ability.

I am getting down too with all these results and performances at the moment. I guess its a case of waiting and seeing what happens in the next five games before we can really judge fully on how our season is going to pan out.

Lets face it, Defeats against Man City, Charlton, Middlesborough, these are the teams that will occupy the likes of 8th, 9th and 10th come the end of the season......

So far with a point at Fulham and beating fellow strugglers the Baggies, it shows we are heading for a relegation struggle more than anything else, we are just one of a number of relegation fodder sides........

Anyone know when we will win again?

Totally agree, things aren't going as planned. We should destroy teams like Charlton, on paper we have a better team than teams like that. Have we not learnt, goalscoring is our major shortfall, granted 'The Forse' will start scoring and Heskey will bag at least 15. But where else will the goals come from? We need to sort things out NOW.

what i find hard to understand is why the board arn't being more vocal about all this, it's a shambles. the team are totally unprepared.... who actually goes and watches the competition. Our tactics are totally one dimensional, we don't look fit... infact half of our team look like they are carrying injuries. the heart of the team has been ripped out. To my mind all the players that would have walked on broken glass for the Blues have been sold , AJ, The Horse, Morrison,Carter...to name a few. I really am unsure where we are heading, what i am sure of is we are in trouble...plain and simply. Ten Years David and the Golds and Karren waited for us to get into the 'Promised Land...but now we seem to be heading back. All the fun as gone, the crowd are quiet, the team are quiet. Teams come to our place looking for all three points....and who can blame them when our team haven't got a Heart or a clue. Two more defeats and i say Brucey out.

And what would you have done differently? Bruce named an unchanged team from the one that beat West Brom, and played 442. Today I saw individual errors, not an overall lack of tactics. I also saw some good play from DJ,Jarosik,Pennant.

Charlton are a good team - I know we beat them away in our first season 0-2, but other than that our record against them isn't terribly spectacular.

Sorry i can't agree that we should be destroying a team like Charlton, they are a better side than us, more organised, more flair more speed more movement on and off the ball, work hard for each other, break fast and can pass, all of which we don't seem to able to do or can't do, and that is down to the manager and coaches.

Like ive said before its just my opinion, but, i feel SB has taken us as far as he can, i think he is a lovely bloke and a great man manager, but that is not enough and i think his short comings are starting to show.

Dunn.

Jermaine keeps hitting crossbars too, he'll score soon.

When you look at the performances Stuart Pearce is getting from a squad of lesser players at the moment you do have to wonder if Bruce is the right man.

That's what I keep thinking.
