Anyone else get the feeling our season rests in David Dunn's hands. If he comes back and stays fit this time we know he will give us the extra quality were lacking at the moment. If he takes time to regain fitness like Izzet & Forssell though we might as well write this season off and start planning for next year. |

It 'rests' in Cunningham & Clapham's hands. 8 goals in 5 games now, even 4 goals is wrong. Only WBA (10) & Sunderland (9) have conceded more goals. If the defence stays the same then they'll concede about 67 goals after 38 games. You can say that's just a stat, but if the defence DOES stay the same (by conceding goals at the same rate) we'll be in Division 1 next season. West Ham had Lampard, Kanoute, Defoe, Bowyer, J.Cole etc when they got relegated. Their attacking team was like ours, their defence conceded like BCFC's did too. Midfielders and forwards won't keep a team up if the defence concede too many goals. |

if we reley on one player then we are in real trouble. the team as a whole has to work together and it should'nt make a difference. but you are correct if can stay fit it will boost moral. |

Melchiot was at fault for Charlton's winner today ....NOT the first time he's cost us a game He's having a woeful season....get him out of there now Get DJ in at right back and Martin Taylor to replace Kenny C and I would even consider giving the kid Matt Sadler an opportunity at left back when he is fully fit Kilkenny should be give his chance NOW...starting next week at Pompey And I'm hoping Dunn will be back for Liverpool game but maybe too hopeful Things need a shake up I'm afraid and that time is NOW |

the season never relies on one player, but when someone as good as dunny comes in it lifts morale as well as bringing other aspects to the team we've missed. he is class, no doubt, and anybody but chelski, @rse and manure would have missed him. his runs, the trouble he causes defenders, his intellect - england class, so come back soon dd! ;) |

Well we just pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and get on with it. It's going to be a long season. Time has come to field Killkenny, give King Kenny a rest, put in Tiny. |

Dunn won't fail to deliver, he's a skillful player who's proved himself whenever he's played. On an over analytical sounding point, the supporters have give him MASSIVE confidence, he thinks he's god (and that's good). When players like him 'lose confidence' (Heskey Liverpool), they're out of form. When they're confident (Heskey WBA) they play in game winning form, because they've no negative distraction occupying their mind, they can focus only on winning. It's all true, I've witnessed this in ways that proves it, but not relevant to this forum. BTW, in reverse I think we make players worse than they are by criticism, like Didier Drogba (he NEVER finished like that for Marseille, but after missing a few shots people kept mentioning it, and his shots have been off target ever since). |

Of course the season don't rest with Dunny, but his return should be a huge boost. I was really sorry to read in the Sun today of his split with his partner, thats if its true of course. Really sad, bet he is broken hearted. Hope he can get his spirits up by playing his footie again. All the best Dunny, we will all be pleased to have you back. Janetin |

I was happy they split up but hay im a girl :P !! But on footballing terms i think its a shame they split because if i remember rightly the last time they split Dunny was really down and wasn't playing too well. I hope he dont get like that again! |

1 player does not make a team. 1 player is not bigger than the team. To put a whole season's worth of pressure onto Dunn before he's even returned is pathetic. |
