Corner Kicks. Do We Practise Them Or Not?

The law of averages says that after the number of corners we took yesterday, a goal will go in eventually. But it does rely on a modicum of effort from the players on the receiving end of the corner kick.

Do we practise them at Wast Hills, or do we just make it up as we go along like some U14 team playing in the park?

Can't fault Pennant's delivery in 80% of the kicks he took, but he might just as well take a shot at goal direct from the corner cos nobody else had a go on the receiving end.

Your views on this please.

Hi Thenk Yew. ;)

Upson faces towards his own goal to keep an eye on what the defence are doing. Jarosik makes his run as the corner is taken, Upson steps in front of the defender covering Jarosik to block his run. Jarosik score a header into the top left corner. Job done.

That's the way to do it.

Yes except for the fact that the Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U blocking system is now stopped by the ref.It was allowed only just long enough for Chelski to win the title.

Players also can't surround the ref anymore(we never did?) Noticed how many more fouls are going against the top teams?

DJ is never going to score ,so why doesn't he come to the front corner of the box to draw players.TWO have to go with him to stop a possible 1-2.

More rocket science?

If Melchiot/Upson go up I expect to see the Butt/Jarosik standing in the half moon area with KC/Clap behind them with perhaps Gray between(as he is fast).
Know a team who needs a manager? B)

This sis strange, especailly as Bruce himself scored many goals for Utd from corners and free kicks, getting on the end of balls with his head...... <_<
