to whom do u refer?
the corporate sponsors will stay as long as we are in premiership, the people i know in the gold suite/directors box, were there when we were in Div 1, they just have to pay twice as much for same seats now.
and because they have paid SO much they turn up for all the games, LOL
although I know 1 guy who has just found out he has been paying nearly twice as much for his seat than the guy sitting next to him, £2500 + VAT for 3 directors seats (each) and entrance to gold suite. The guy next to him has been paying £1800+ vat for last 2 seasons, and £2100+ vat this season. HE IS NOT HAPPY , thats £5400 too much over 3 seasons..... commercial dept about to be phoned! LOL
i have even found out that some "up there" are paying £3000+vat for that same section seating, THEY SHOULD ALL BE SAME PRICE... this is selective ripping off perry !

It wasn't directed at anyone in particular.
I keep hearing it, just thought I'd let them know there's no 'glory' for the brigade to follow, when BCFC are 16th in the PL table.

Firstly let me say that I have 2 season tickets in the Kop for my son and me. I have had these since the new Kop was built. Prior to this I would pay on the day to stand on the Kop.
Last year I took some customers to sporting dinner at St Andrews and while there started the ball rolling on what turned out to be a good contract. That was not the intention but I was very pleased it was the result. Because of this, this season we have had 3 seats in the Directors area and access to the Gold suit. I still have my 2 season tickets for my son and me.
2 guests we invite and a member of my company staff to look after them use the 3 seats. We could of paid a range of prices including the £3000 plus VAT you refer to. Whatever package you pay for the seat remains the same; the price differences reflect the hospitality such as meals, wine and access to the Directors guest lounge.
My company operates business to business nationaly and spends about £30,000 plus VAT a year in trade advertising. We believe the £7500 plus VAT we spend on 3 good seats, a few drinks, snacks at half time and a hot buffet after the game will deliver more than the trade advertising which we have now dropped to pay for the seats.
I for one however will maintain my seats in the KOP as I am a true fan. If we were to go down I don’t think to many of our customers would be interested in league football, regardless of the hospitality so we would be back to the trade advertising.

the price i refered to was for access ONLY to gold suite, (£2500+VAT )which was the same package as others only paying £1800 last season and £2100 this season, u can have upgrade to have meals every match at £575.00 per season, but some are paying £3000+vat with no meals. This package is the Gold suite bar package, and prices vary on what u can haggle them to, which is WRONG.

Sorry Sam you are wrong
We pay £2500 + VAT
the package includes
Personalised (company name) Luxury seat in the directors box. Access Throughout match day to the gold suite. Complimentary programe Kop car parking Half time Tea, coffee, biscuits and pies Post Match hot buffet Cash bar facility Priority service for away match tickets Satellite TV.
If we paid £3000 + VAT we would have the same package as the one above but with a 3hree course meal pre match whith the wine included which works out at £26 per head plus the VAT or less if we play some cup games at home.
If some people have done a better deal, good luck to them. I must sharpen my pencil and try and do a better deal next time.
Any way whats your point. The Blues are trying to make money its not a sin in fact its a great thing.

Agree with you shrew... it’s just good or bad business.
ps. Do you know if there is any availability for as package similar to yours? I would be interested.
pps if you want to make the most of your ad budget... you should get in touch with a good creative services company... (I could point you in the right direction ;)

Well, it made me smile. :D
I think you'll find the the Birmingham definition of a 'Prawn Sarnie' is either (a) someone who doesn't moan about the price of the season ticket, or (b.) someone who dares to question the quality of football that he sees having bought his ST without complaint.
However, occassionally sufferers of lanyngitis could well be labelled 'Prawn Sarnies' - because they're not singing.
A person who doesn't complain about his ST price, and who criticises the poor quality of football, and who is suffering from laryngitis, is no longer a 'Prawn Sarnie'. He is a 'Viler'.
Hope this helps.
PS. Not sure what you'd call anyone who simply wanted to be associated with Birmingham City Football Club simply for the credibility and status it bought, because I haven't found anyone yet.

Is that the sole definition?
I always thought the 'prawn sarnie brigade' were new-non hardcore supporters, who are here for the 'glory' of the PL, must of took on a new meaning after listening to people mentioning 'them'.

there are people in there ON SAME package paying 2100+vat this yr, can give u there names if u pm me, they paid £1800 last yr.
FACT, i am right, and there are a group paying £3000+ vat without the meals.
My point is that prices should not vary depending on who sold the package, and how much u negoiated. I feel a price for a package is the price. I feel for the guy I know, because he has been paying over the odds, some £5400, more than the other guy for same package.

Fair play to the marketing department then - more money in the clubs account can only be a good thing IMO.
