Only one home win, & even that was a slim margin.

Home Win ~1, D ~ 2, Away wins ~ 7

How weird.

Yes I noticed that also. Maybe Blues are not the only one's with home games issue.

I was chatting to son in law yesterday about the home atmosphere at Blues and he mentioned that the problem is much the same at Forest (his team). Looking at the stats, although they are in a better position than us, their home record is only the same as their away, & the City Ground is not exactly a fortress.

I think it might be to do with the cost/finances you know. People who are struggling to make ends meet are charged a relative fortune to watch their team, a team of people typically earning a whole lot more than they are, and the fans become very dissatisfied with anything but perfection when at home. It tends to be different away because your team are not expected to win, maybe not expected to perform so well, and the fans are on a bit of a jolly anyway.

I must agree with your last paragraph. I'm a season ticket holder at Blues, but i couldn't imagine how bad i'd feel if i'd just spent £30 to watch my team at home and then they lose. Would put you off going again, especially if you weren't earning much either.

£10-£20 is what the price of match should be IMO. The Germans make it very cheap somehow, so why can't we? Is it because the Premier League is full of over-inflated wages? Or because fans have just accepted it as the norm?

With expensive tickets, huge inflows of foreign players, over-inflated wages, no transfer budget restrictions enforced by the FA/Premier League/Whoever, changes of clubs colours and changes of clubs names, football in the UK is on the verge of losing it's core fan base, and losing its soul.

I can't see it lasting.

Takes us back to how football is run in Germany, and much as I hate to have to accept it their model is far better than ours.

It also takes us back to Supporters Trusts and why I believe in them so much. Ours is run in a shambolic way that does not attract many fans unfortunately, but in Germany they are run pretty well, and the result is that the game over there is far more to do with ordinary supporters than it is to do with the vagaries of these financial hot shot idiots, like Tan & his like.

The other result is that the quality of German football is usually much higher than ours.

Will we ever learn....I doubt it.

Agreed with the post, apart from maybe the quality of German football. Yes their national side, Bayern Munich & Dortmund are all fantastic footballing sides, but is the rest of the league? I don't think so, maybe Leverkusen, but even they lost 5-0 at home to Man Utd.

Our leagues & clubs are of a better standard overall IMO, but the way they are run in comparison to the Germans, is rather embarrassing and makes us fans of the English leagues, look like fools.

Good point, maybe they aren't that much better than us in on field quality.
