Johny Haynes passed away..He was a Meastro for Fulham...Could have played for any team in Europe/never asked for move or pay rise! Gent! I remember he tried to foul Bertie Auld who floored him with a right hook.He was taken off on a stretcher knocked out. Maurice Cook the Fulham 6ft2ins C/half came running across the pitch to sort him out.Glaswegian Bertie 5ft 3ins jumped up and nutted him....Another stretcher please.... The next week ,big Ron Yeates of Liverpool went away on a stretcher from a left hook and right jab.... Every team then had at least one player who it was worth turning up to watch...Every team...Haynes was one, ball control ...superb...Inside right(midfield to you lot) God bless him. |
