I'm interessted in both, and any other projects which put our glorious game back in the hands of the people that matter the most, the fans. Can We Have Our Game Back ~ Campaign |

You can't fail to notice how now the season is well under way the Manchester United branch of FC United fans have gone very quiet. Probably because they're all down Old Trafford. |

I think you will find the only reaon they are quiet, is that they are not getting reported. For instance, Glazer has a total ban imposed on MUFC commenting or reporting on anything to do with FCUM. You'll also find that the crowds for the FC United games are holding up well. 3600+ for the last home game. I think it is still a progressive project, at least from what you can tell from a distance. |

fans got angry that an american overtook their club (how dare they, these americans!) so they set up their own amateur club. As opposed to AFC wimbledon which was set up after their owners stole their club and plonked it miles away |

AFC Wimbledon already existed. Wimbledon fans who did not agree with the move to Milton Keynes took their support and went to a local Wimbledon club. FC United of Manchester is a club that was formed by a group of Man utd FC fans who were not happy with the Glazer take over. Similar events but FC Wimbledon was for a real reason, not just stroppy fans ripping an idea off. |

Spot on. I am always glad to see MK Dons at the bottom of their division. Hopefully, FC Wimbledon will overtake them one day. The whiney Man U fans are just funny. |

I rememeber when Newport County went down the pan, and AFC Newport were born. They had to play their home games in Moreton-on-Marsh initally due to their local council not recognising them or something. Think they have the title of County back now and play back in Newport? Anywya, thats a little different to the other two cases. Not sure whether I could follow any other club than Birmingham City Football Club though. If Blues were to die, that would be it for me I think. |

But we already have the alternative name for Blues should something terrible happen. It's a bit cumbersome in full, but has the same message as the FCUM initials give. SHAGU ~ Small Heath Alliance Group United |

i wish MK Dons all the luck in the world. The decsion had to be made of what to do with the club as they were losing shed loads of money through the ground share and coupled with the slide down the table. As they couldn't move back to there orginal ground what were they supposed to do? I believe there was another club that moved from it's origins to a new part of the map and changed it's name and went on to succeed-Arsenal. All that Wimbeldon did was ensure the future of the club by moving to an area that is devoid of high level football with only Wycombe and Northampton being able to satisfy. I hope AFC Wimbeldon do well also but i reckon that both clubs will do well to just carry on and forget about one another. On a slightly sour note i am concerned at the the prices that AFC wimbeldon charge in relation to the level of football there playing. |
