Season long loan to West Ham, can he make it 4 seasons on the bounce

Has just signed for West Ham apparently!

Not content with three successive relegations, he's now trying to notch another record for himself by taking 2 teams down in one season

Do you know he was on £45k a week at wolves hence why he has been shipped out on loan

what do you mean sullivan makes all the signings ?, your comment is confusing and misleading.

I thought most owners want to be given the last say on signings ?

This is a brave signing by West Ham considering where they are and Roger the relegator's record.

Couldn't get in either Wolves or Sheffield Wednesday team, it has got to be a record 4 relegations on the trot!!!

People are forgetting how good RJ was for us and only remarking negatively because he didn't stay. As with others he had to leave due to wages and Wolves wanted him so forget the below belt remarks remember the heroic performances (cc victory) instead.

We ain't into the "Director of Footbal" scenario are we ?

Like AVB actually argued agsinst 5 of the signings bought on pre-Bale dosh - but like he had to cope with them, just like Sherwood does now.

Roger was on his way to making the "Guiness Book Of Records" like.

FIVE CONSECUTIVE RELEGATIONS

But Sulls whipped a League One player - [on his way to 5 Relegations with Wednesday] -
to secure the Hammer's PL status--BRILL--Way To Go David]
:dancer:

Wolves refused him a squad number last summer, shipped him orft to SW like on loan after No Takers---Sully grabs him again because West Ham were only £2.50 per week off Lecotts and Richards wages.

I don't know whether they are still in denial like, after Forest, but the Hammer fans on their forums don't listen to me.They think Roger is the bees-knees.

..zz..

Has there ever been a player who has made a significant contribution to two teams being relegated in one season?

RJ dumped Blues like a hot spud as soon as we were relegated as he was too"good" for us.

Of course numerous relegations later he somehow ends up back on the Premier League - this time with the Hammers (against whom he scored a fabulous goal on the Cup semi final).

One game back and he contributed so well, a 5-0 humiliation at City.

Good luck to you Roger, I hope you can boast another relegation this season.

Better defenders than Roger have been given a good going over by those Man City forwards this season. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but right now I'd have him back here in a heartbeat.

If Sheff Wed go down, can we also count that one for RJ too to make it Five relegations in successive seasons? :fishing:

True! Although Jirenak (think that's how its spelt), was quality, only played about half a season for Blues, won the cup, got relegated, then left! :D
