So should i be expecting a reduction on next seasons ST to take into account the number of reduced price games this season. Or maybe the club should publish a list of the reduced price games in advance so that st holders can make a decision on wether to purchase or not.

you always have a decision to make, and only you can make it - again, anyone who buys a st knows that some games will be reduced for whatever reason, so its not a shock is it? i dont know of many places that reduce prices before they know what their trading circumstances will be, although i suspect many of them who persue that route are EX businessmen!! ;)

Proccy as i see it they do know who the reduced games are going to be, the same as they have been for the last 3 years the 3 promoted teams plus Bolton, Charlton etc etc . and i have not seen anything in the papers stating that DS,DG,RG have gone bust so its not harming the finances too much is it :P

personallyi bought mine because of my love for all things blues and i'll probably do the same until i die despite struggling to afford it more and more. why? because its the blues, i dont look for logic or other peoples promises, its the blues, and if you dont understand that then feel free to walk away imo... ;)

What you write could be read as implying that people who don't like the way the current board treats its regular (and loyal) customers love the Blues in some way less than you do. I'd guess you didn't mean it like that.

The Blues is more than the current board, it was there before and will be there after. So will you, and so will I.

But loving the Blues doesn't mean that I should have to be happy with the way the current board treat their loyal customers, those who put their money in at the start of the season, as some sort of mug punter who once the money is over the counter can be forgotten about till next year, secure in the knowledge that their unquestioning love for the Blues will make them cough up yet again.

My problem isn't anything to do with what STs cost, I fully expect prices to go up, it's the way of the world. But without that hardcore of people who do put their money in at the start of the season, the club is in trouble. Season ticket sales were down 1500 this season as it is. And the attitude the current board is taking towards those who did renew is upsetting a significant and increasing number of them. The extra revenue gained by reducing walkup prices is in danger of being cancelled out and more by the numbers who won't renew next season. And that's no good for the Blues.

Based on ticket prices for matches up to and including Wigan, it works out at an average of £29.73 per match so far. Season tickets in Kop Corner (which are more expensive than the Tilton) were £511 which works out at an average of £26.89. Although it's difficult to assess properly because 2 matches (Man City and Everton) had special offers for season ticket holders to be able to buy up to 4 adult tickets at £15 instead of the match price of £25 and £30 respectively, and obviously match prices for the remainder of the season will affect the average, I don't think the reduced match prices will make too much difference and for me the convenience of having one far outweighs any concerns I might have.

Just checked concession ticket prices up to and including Wigan. They work out at an average of £11.77.

I can't remember the price of Kop Corner concessions but going on the cost of Willie's daughter's ticket in the Tilton that works out as an average of £12.50.

These prices are affected more because the club do a lot of kids for £5.

exactly mo, and where i am in the tilton its even cheaper at £475 which is exactly £25 per game. this week where i live, burton, played manure in a friendly to open the new pirelli stadium....cost? £20 for a feckin friendly where both sides put out 2nd teams!!! struways point that ds/dg etc wouldnt go bust is true, but more to the point WHOEVER the board happened to be would have put up prices. had it been the kumars, it would have been more and we'd have been in a crap stadium. count yer chickens, because we're in a good place right now just suffering some shaky times along with every other prem club...
i see tonite madrid - barcelona wasnt sold out....maybe they should all resign eh, let the kumars of this world run it all... ;)

so season tickets went up what, 4%? what did people expect to happen with regard to prices? surely not a reduction in the face of most other prem clubs putting prices up? so if you expected prices to go up whats the problem? is anybody really daft enough to spend £500+ on the prospect of us signing a few players and getting into europe??? personallyi bought mine because of my love for all things blues and i'll probably do the same until i die despite struggling to afford it more and more. why? because its the blues, i dont look for logic or other peoples promises, its the blues, and if you dont understand that then feel free to walk away imo... ;)

Roughly translates as:

Dear Karren,

Please feel free to abuse my loyalty by ripping me off at every opportunity in the safe knowledge that I will make ever greater sacrifices to buy a ST until the day comes when I simply cannot afford it any more and I join the ranks of loyal supporters who have been priced out of our game by the greed of the players and by the cynicism of the club that I have supported through thick and thin.

lots of sloppy kisses,

i rather it be translated as, realist supports club until he can no further, and dependent upon circumstances that differs from individual to individual...but agian, feel free to slag the club and its supporters...after all, its seems to what you are prepared to contribute to the "cause" ;)

i know how much this club meens to old proccy and you cant knock his loyalty to the blues.

i dont always agree with him but he wants whats best for the blues and he is an honist guy who will tell you how he feels and i respect that and admire him for it.

honisty is something not everyone wants to here but sometimes you have to accept it and 'respect' it.

cheers drnick, you know the feelings mutual and i appreciate your comments.

however the penguin and all the others have just as valid thoughts and opinions but decide to adopt a more cynical position - does'nt make them better or worse supporters as the money all goes to the same pot, just more difficult to agree with..i'm sure they'd be there at wembley if we get there, and be first in the queue for tickets...god i'm so p1ssed on stella, i think i've just p1ssed on the cat!!! :D

i feel that 10% "off" ALL stuff should be a permanent deal for season ticket holders, not just a xmas, and there should be something else to reflect / balane the "kids for a fiver" deals that occur, i have two childrens tickets that were £250 each in olympic gallary. around £12.00 per game, per child, i should be paying less per ticket than those who come game to game, at current rate i will have paid around £50.00 more, and paid up front, and as a reward? 10% off "some" stuff in store, where i would have to spend £500 to just get even, on "none training/replica" stuff.... i am well ****** off, it is an insult!

Dear Blues Supporters,

This is an urgent plea to every true Blues fan! Please turn up and support our team this Saturday!

We understand that some of you are fed up and feel like not coming to support the team, but it's at times like this that we need your support the most.

St. Andrew's has been like a morgue recently, no atmosphere, but we don't blame you. We understand your frustration and disappointment with the recent performances of the team. We feel the same, but we'll be there on Saturday making as much noise as we can - and we need you there as well!

We know you feel let down by recent results - we feel the same - but we just cannot give up! We need you there to make some noise and fill the stadium with pressure and sound. Saturday is now a must-win game for the club and we are asking you to turn up with your family and friends and to help.
We have reduced the prices to just £15 (adults) and £5 (kid), your support and help will turn the season around.

As a Board we have never been so desperate for you to turn up and get behind the team, we know your presence, sound and support can and will make the difference.

Saturday is our most important game for years, it's like the cup final and we need your help to win it - please, please turn up and get behind the team.

£522(which is what I paid) divided by 19 games = £27.50approx per game

Something doesn't add up here (or divide up)

Then I paid 10 to watch us just about beat Norwich
I will pay 20 to watch us play Man U

Will be interesting to see the ploy they use to sell STs for next season. If we are on course for relegation at the time will they offer reduced prices if you buy early ? If we are safe at the time we will probably be looking at another 4% increase as it was last year on the promise that the strongest squad we have had in years will deliver exciting football and a place amongst Europe's elite.

This message is all about money. They want it to kick start the season (again) so that the success they hope it will spark off will mean more STs sold for the remainder of the season and for the next one.

Don't let "please, please" get to you - get down there anyway cos you love the Blues

Geoff when was going to watch football a rational thing? We know its over priced, we know we are supporting bilionaires and millionaires but we still do it.
