In case it has escaped your notice we are in the bottom 2 of our league. We are hardly going to be attracting top drawer players to the club in this position. |

Just because they can't get into the foreign sides does not make them bad players. Dugarry wasn't a first choice when we signed him and look how good he was! Would rather take a chance on some random johnny foreigner who might turn out good than pay over the odds for another journeyman who failed at a different premiership club. |

it was dugarry's disciplinary record which cost him his team place not his undoubted skill, but yes i do agree about the journeymen sentiment |

No i dont think that for a minute. Personally i doubt Sully will release any more to bring anyone in. We have the right personell to get us out of this situation but they need guiding in the right direction. |

Some details of Lachor. Born: January 17, 1976 Height: 1.87m Weight: 81 kg This season French league 2 games Uefa cup 2 games and 2 goals Intertoto 2 games + 2 goals (... he has been much more effective than our strikers <_< ) Last season French league 7 games Season 2003/04 French league 24 games (9 yellow cards...) Uefa cup 1 game 2002/03 Season Totals 17 games 2001/02 Season Totals 11 and 1 goal He has played usually on left side. (Could he be any worse than Jamie?). But there is still one problem. He have has two serious leg injuries. 2002 his season end due to a knee injury and on Sebtember in 2004 Lachor faced (at least) two months out with a fractured leg. :( And I don't like about this statement: "Lens have already told the former Servette star that he is surplus to requirements." - Ok, that's fine, he has at least been a star, but... I'm not sure, because my poor english (Oh really, you have noticed? ) but isn't surplus mean "waste/wasted/really useless" or something like that in english? |

Lens have a very strong team. Players like Fae, Dindane & Cousin can't always make the starting line up, if they left Lens Uefa Cup teams would want them. Abdoulaye Faye couldn't even make Lens' bench, now he's playing first team for Bolton. |

From FansFC.com Lachor claims Birmingham interest 17:36 November, 29, 2005 Yoann Lachor claims Birmingham City Football Club are keen on him. The Lens defender is out of contract at the end of the season, and he claims to have been contacted by Blues boss Steve Bruce about a possible trial at St Andrews. "I had a talk of a kind with the Birmingham manager," Lachor said. "I was very surprised. Perhaps it is due to the fact I achieved beautiful performances in the European Cup. "I don't know exactly how it has happened, but it is attractive, above all considering my situation. I am a free agent in June and it seems Lens doesn't want to keep me. "Birmingham is the only concrete contact. So a departure there is a possibility. They want to see me on trial. We will see how to plan that, knowing Lens have a lot of encounters to play before the winter break and they could need me. "The Lens officials are not against the idea of letting me leave. It is clear for them I won't be a Lens player anymore next season. "Some years ago, I was absolutely not excited by a foreign move. Now, I think an experience abroad can be exciting to experience a new football culture. However, there is nothing settled yet." |

In other words "Now there is a huge amount of money available in England, it'd be exciting to go there for one last pay day" |

Oh great, but this already sounds like another classic Bruce swoop. Collecting the waifs and strays of football without a system or plan in which to fit them. Wish the lad well, but alarm bells are ringing.... |

Steve Bruce has DENIED ever talking to Lachor (on the main site) so again it's more hogwash from Sky Sports News (who 1st reported it) or it's just another agent fanning some flames again  |
