I thought SB said he will look at Emile in a few days as he didn't know if the injury would preclude him from playing. |

correct, they're above us in the table for one reason, they've been better than us. a result for us would be great but its by no means a certainty - come on you mighty blues!!! ;) |

yeah i think this will be more harder than we think and as proccy says they have played better than us. if hesky dont play then i dont know what SB will do he cant play 451 with just pandiani up front. looks lik kuqi could start or put dunn in behind him with jarosik and kilkenny in the centre. |

kuqi aint ready mate - if he's ever going to be  dont see why pandiani cant play up front as lone striker, just give him different balls to go for, ie dunny/kilkenny/izzett/jarosik threading balls and getting up there with him...thats the key to 4-5-1 ;) |

This is going to be a solid game, they will think they can get a result and will give it a good go. They have just been promoted so they will want every point they can, and we are poor at home. We need to change it around starting this week COME ON BLUES!!! |

ya right mate we would have to alter our game i just dont want to see the typical hoof ball if he does do that. kuqi might not be ready so i think a 4411 might be better with dunn in the hole. like this ............................vassen/taylor mario/dj..............tiny.............uppy...............clapham pennant...........jarosik...............kilkeny...............grey ..................................dunn ............................pandiani.............. if dunn is'nt match fit i'd put jarosik in there with clemence in his place or dj if he starts with mario at RB. |

Too cocky  We scraped past Sunderland and the worst team in the Championship took us to penalties! Oh, and West Ham are 10 places above us in the league. Being too cocky is the last thing we should be concerned about. |

I think he means - when we think that we are on top in the game, we begin to believe we are the better team and start playing a little casual..... then of course it comes back to sting us in the a$$. The players have got to work hard for each other for the full 90 mins and it would be nice to see a few off the ball runs once in a while - fingers crossed for the Hammers game KRO |

Hang on a sec, we should beat them! I know they have just come up and are a new problem to the teams in the prem but if we are to stay in this division then they are exactly the teams we HAVE to beat. Kuqi may not be the finished article but with 2 strikers out we need to have someone on the bench that can play up front. Either him or Barrowman has to be on the bench. |

West Ham have some fantastic players in Etherington and Benouyoun, and hve played MUCH better football than we have so far this season. They are where they are for a reason, and it is not even as if they have got to that position by battling a la Wigan - they have actually outplayed and outpassed teams. Just my opinion, but they would probably have demolished Sunderland on Saturday. Having said that, there are some reasons to be confident. Izzet is getting better with every game and showing the sort of class and form that some of us knew he had, Pandi will probably be much better suited to a solitary striker role than Emile, and we will probably refrain somewhat from the hoof ball without him to aim at. In the centre Taylor is looking very classy, Upson seems to be regaining form (IMO they should be our centre partnership) Dunny is back and getting fitter with every game, and with him and Jiri in the team we should have a lot of players moving forward from midfield. If I was Brcuey, I would be telling DJ et al to keep on defending and tell Dunn and Jiri to bomb on all game. With that in place, we could hurt a fair few teams |

Unfortunately West Ham have the one thing that we struggle the most to compete against - Pace. We are a slow team and they break on you at great speed as they showed against Man U in the first minute. A win would be a fantastic result, this will be no walkover. |

We're a better team than West Ham, they've got a few class players (Ferdinand, Benayoun, Reo-Coker), the rest are just hard workers on their best game. Now the players aren't stressed, they might relax and start playing. |
