Id go with a similar squad to who played at Sunderland however i hope to god Bruce dosent start with that negative 4-5-1 formation at home, it was only when we went to 4-4-2 at sunderland that we managed to threaten the goal. We need to beat West Ham, a draw is of little use to us. |

If heskey is out injured id be tempted to play David Dunn up front alongside Pandiani. ------------ Vaesen Melchiot - Taylor - Upson - Clapham Pennant - Izzet ---- Jarosik - Gray --------- Pandiani - Dunn |

................Vaesen ..Mario...Taylor...Upson...Stan ..Pennant..Izzet..Jarosik...DJ .............Heskey ..................Pandiani Subs Taylor Kenny Kilkenny Gray Dunn Tight starting line up, 3 impact players (Kilkenny, Gray, Dunn) when needed. It wouldn't be good if we started with those players and then come 65 need some changes and all we've got is the like of Butt and DJ. |

i agree with many of the teams posted on here but u can't play dj left mid or stan left back u have to play players in there postions i would play this team vaesen melchiot taylor upson clapham pennant izzet butt gray jarosik heskey taylor tebily dunn clem/killkenny pandiani i have but butt in there to sit with three attacking midfielders, and left dunn on the bench to bring on 20 mins to go |

Muzzy Izzet has proved so far that although he's an attacking midfielder at heart he can play the more defensive role as good as if not better than the other defensive midfielders we have (i.e Butt, Clem) So I'd have no concerns with having Izzet next to a Kilkenny or Jarosik. Especially giving that West Ham play with two defensive midfielders in the center (Mullins and someone else) Finally DJ playing left wing will help deal with Benayoun when we are defending and by cutting inside when we are attacking create space for other or for the full back (Stan or Clapham) to come forward. |

The way i see it Dunn should be the first name on the team sheet, weather its in the middle, on the left or up front. No good Dunn coming on for the last 30 minutes when were 2-0 down, play him from the beggining and lets start the game as well as we possible can. He is fit enough to play 70-80 minutes so why leave him on the bench. We have waited so long for Dunn to be back and already he has made a big difference to us. This is a vital game, the lad has to start. |

First name for me is Muzzy easily but funny you should say this "No good Dunn coming on for the last 30 minutes when were 2-0 down, " have you forgotten that game at vile park a couple of seasons ago. If god forbid we were 2-0 down monday you'd expect West Ham to be on the back foot anyway (as they'd try to protect that lead), so it'd be perfect for Dunny. Now thrown with the same question 2-0 down, with the like of DJ and Butt on the bench. Hardly the most inspiring is it. |

How you start a game goes a long way to determining the outcome, with our awful home form if we dont start well the fans will quickly become restless. On the other hand if you start the game positivly the players quickly grow in confidence and the fans get behind the team more. Our best chance of starting the game well is by having our best players like Dunn on the pitch, not waiting on the bench to come on and rescue the game. |

Fully agree with this line up. If Heskey is fit, move Dunn into left mid and put Gray on the bench. I don't know why, but I have a strange feeling DJ may play somewhere  |

Assuming that neither Gray nor Heskey will be fit for the match, this would be my team: -----------------------------Vaesen Melchiot----------Taylor--------------Upson---------Cunningham (A left footed player who has been playing on the right) Pennant----------Kilkenny-----------Izzet-------------Johnson (Can use both feet! ) -----------------------Dunn ------------------------------Pandiani Subs: Taylor, Clapham, Butt, Lazaridis, Jarosik |

Yeah Fair enough I have no doubt Dunn will start, especially if Heskey doesn't play. I just want to make sure we have impact players people who can change things round significantly if and when needed. |

You may be right, Steve, but I was pretty sure he was left-footed. Doesn't he mainly play left centre back for the Republic of Ireland? Perhaps he is one of the few who is good with both. |

Kenny is right footed, and should not play fullback unless absolutely necessary. BTW This is what I reckon W/ham starting line up will be, perhaps its worth considering when picking our own. For example is Mario the right man against Etherington. ............................Carroll ....Repka... Ferdinand.. Gabbidon.. Konchesky ....Benayoun... Noble.... Mullins..... Etherington ................Sheringham.. Harewood |
