This is the very best draw we could have had. Bear me out. We are not expected to win, so a win (anything is possible in the cup) would increase confidence throughout the club. Yet a loss would not be so devastating because of the opposition. Imagine what would have happened if we were to lose to Doncaster! And losing to almost any of the other quarter-finalists, bar perhaps Arsenal, would have been disappointing.

Win or lose we will get a feel for what this ManU side are about, strengths and weaknesses, which will come in handy for when we play them in the Premiership a week or so later. Our players will be less overwhelmed by the occassion.

Also, the game will be a sell out. The atmosphere will be electric and some much needed cash will enter the coffers just in time for the January transfer window.

In an unchacteristically optimistic mood, I am going to predict that we win one of the two December matches against them.

'Tis the season to be jolly.....

:D urm blue diver your optimism is contagious...maybe a bit too much of the christmas liquar but yes lets go for it - we have nothing to lose and we do play better against the 'more difficult' teams - I will go one step further and say we will beat them twice in December

Does anyone know:

a) If the game is being televised and
B) The ticket prices for this. Surely not £45 ?!

Thanks

I expect the tickets will be at the higher rate for the League encounter but for the Cup? Who knows. I will fully expect to pay £45 and anything less is a bonus.

Win this game and it's a cup semi final which, considering our poor start, is fantastic.

Can we win it? Let's wait and see. Beat Man utd first and see Arsenal knocked out in the quarters too.

How about a Blues v Doncaster final? It could happen.

It'll make the vile's defeat even more funny of we win the cup beating Doncaster in the final now won't it!!! pmslol

Come on Donny!

There is no reason why we can't reach the semi finals.
