i think it could be Terry hibbitt.

we bought him from newcastle (he set up tons of goals for "supermac")
he used to play in midfield

Latchford behind Kendall ?

Can't be, because Latchford and Kendall were part of the deal that brought Kendall to Blues and took Big Bob to Everton. Archie Styles was also part of the same transfer.

I think you may be right about the photo being taken during our 2-1 win at Villa Park, block23steve.

The team for that day was....
Latchford, Page, Styles, Kendall, Gallagher, Want, Jones, Francis, Burns(1), Hibbitt, Connolly(1). Calderwood was the sub.

Incidentally, the same pic was used on the prog front cover for the game against Norwich on Feb 12 1977.

What a brilliant thread!

Makes a nice change from our present day scenario.

Maybe we could make this a regular feature?

Great days..........

But Garry Jones was absolute PANTS

Saw him sent off at Arsenal that year when we got hammered 4-0 by SuperMac inspired Arsenal

Jones was deffo a candidate for one of the WORSE ever Blues wingers....Jesper Gronkjaer should win it easily.....

I recall that day though (bad day all round along with the constant rain) some Arsenal fans taunted us with.....""You guys don't really follow this sh** do ya ??? "" ......well,we replied ""Of course WTF do you think we are standing here for ?? ""

Keep right on
