i am firmly in the "Bruce out" camp! so let's get that straight, so you can stop reading now if that doesn't suit you! it is December and we still have only 9 points from our games so far, with no home win to show! since October there have been mutterings regarding Steve Bruce's future at Blues. now is surely time for those mutterings to be heard. for me, he has lost the players, the dressing room and lost his way! this month we have Man City away, Spurs, Man U (twice) and Chelsea, so it's fair to say we're not going to pick up too much from those games. so let's make the change - now! let's bring in a manager who can get the team (of good players) playing like a team once more, motivated and ready for the New Year - because if we go into January losing to Wigan, then i think we're doomed to Championship football next season, and i don't hold the view that we will bounce straight back. i like SB, but he's not been able to do it this season, for whatever reason and simply backing him, regardless of our position in the Premiership is not the answer! i can't believe he's playing Upson at left back - Upson must know he's not going to Germany now! can't believe we're relying on the likes of Martin Taylor and Nico Vassen to stop the leaks at the back, they are both Championship players - at best. and i cannot believe we go into an important home game with one up front. Dunny was fantastic last night, but i'd loved to have seen him behind Heskey and Pandiani from the start. i know injuries played their part, but we cannot blame injuries alone - our shape was maintained. we lack ideas, fluidity, invention and passion - one thing Blues teams have had an abundance of over the years. we need to bring in one or two fresh players; a keeper, central defender, left back and a striker and if we can a left winger as well it'd be great as Gray is so inefficient it's painful to watch. i know it's a hard choice, but there are good managers around right now in Kinnear and Burley to name but two, so let's make a fresh change while we still have an opportunity to do something about retaining Premiership status. keep right on... |

Could you just hang on to him until we've had go at you in the cup? On a serious note, you need to get him out now so that the new boss can wheel and deal in January to rescue your season. |
