Hehehe, quite like that in a sadistic, ironic way. Think we should also sing "down with the mackems, we're going down with the mackems" for a laugh. |

If any opposition fans start the "Going Down, Going Down" song, we should respond in classic form "So Are we, So are We, So are we". At least it'll bring a smile to faces...... C. pol nIH Daq :( |

In a hopeless situation, humour is all we have left. I for one shall be joining in with the "So are we" chant if it starts off. |

Ah so what your gonna do is like If the chants start You'll make the team feel even badder about themselfs, And then because some people lower there confidence, If the team lose that game because of that confidence lower you will insult the team furthur more saying how crap bla bla, Sounds........Well make up your own mind. |

to be honest, it's about time the players give us something to shout about, and show a bit of desire, instead of just the fans which it usually always is. They are paid a lot of bloody good money to wear the royal blue shirt, why the hell should they need extra motivation from us? Yes, we can play a part and get behind the blue boys, which we do, but at times like this, when the players fail to show any hunger, even the fans couldn't get them going. IF pulling on the royal blue shirt isn't good enough motivation for them, then what the hell is? Boy, what would we do to have our old hard working fans favourites like Martin Grainger, Aliou Ciise (of old), Robbie Savage, Jeff Kenna and Geoff Horsefield back at times like these? |

Yes, I will start singing that because it'll make me laugh and I truly believe that we will go down this season. Doesn't mean I'm gonna throw away my season ticket or stopping hoping for a turnaround, but I think we're going down. The amount of bad luck we've had this season with injuries, uncharacteristic goalkeeping errors costing us points, balls rolling across the line without going in, missed simple chances, these are things that happen to teams who get relegated. I was coming home on monday night utterly depressed, then had a mini-epithany, when all's said and done, win, lose, draw, play well or play badly, I've still got to get up and go to work in the morning. I shouldn't be that depressed about it all. But I am, and need to lighten that depression a little. The endless, and groundless optimism shown on here by a few people only depresses me even more, so if I take a little enjoyment and humour out of a bad situation, sue me. |

Excellent post. Brucey has signed the wrong players. In trying to improve the quality of the football, he's neglected the other side and signed too many players who can play but won't put the effort in. |

I'll add something to that last post actually mate. I am not entirely sure some of his buys can actually play football though! Don't get me wrong, Julian Gray isn't a BAD player, but neither is he a good one. His final ball is average at best, his finish is pretty poor usually despite his rocket against Milwall, and he hasn't got a right foot. Ontop of that, he can't be arsed. Nextly, we have the ever green Walter Pandiani. Now afater seeing him last year after coming on loan, I was disappointed that we till signed him, especially for £3m. He had 1 good game for us, his debut against Southampton. The rets of the time he has look disinterested and pathetic at best. Then, there is Nicky Butt. He might have been bathing in glory a United, but put him in an average, low on confidence team and what do you get? An average footballer at best. Jiri Jarosik, same to be honest, apart from he is better in the air. We have signed decent players who we proberly all would of signed apart from that, Melchiot, Forssell, Heskey, Gronkjaer at the time, Izzet, Pennant etc. But these guys just can't be arsed, they don't want the ball, show a lack of hunger and braveness. Sometimes being brave isn't just about getting stuck in, it's about wanting the ball, and David Dunn is an excellent example of this. He is a winner, he wants to win, is a very, very good player and ontop of that I love his say it as I saw it attitude. Alot of our players shy away then times get tough! They don't want the ball, and we then are just contempt with lumping it upto big Emile, who has done well for us this season by the way. And in truth, we have looked good attacking wise for just 45 minutes this season, away to West Brom. Forssell looked to be coming back, Pennant was whipping them in, Jarosik was a threat, same with Heskey. Other than that, we have not looked as if we want to score, dimply down to the fact we are to lazy So enter young Neil Kilkenny. The lad is a good player, but why are we really appreciating him, DJ and Dunny at the moment? Because they don't like to loose, they want to achieve things, they want the ball and they want to win. Now we have Fulham at the weekend, it's a must win! No excuses. So Brucie mate, I really do hope you pick a midfield four of DJ, Pennant (with a rollecking up his *****), Neil Kilkenny and Stan the man, with Dunny playing just of Heskey. Get the tamperer back, get a bit of motivation going, a bit of desire would be nice also. Brucie and his overpaid bunch of prima donnas need to give us something to shout about now, show a bit of bottle at the very least. We may well end up going down, but the thing that will hurt even more than that is see 11 players abuse the royal blue strip by being a lazy ******* and just picking up their pay cheque. We could forgive if there was a bit of battle, thats what us, the fans, symbolise and idiolise, but things just can't carry on the way they are. I feel sorry for you SB, I personally am behind him, despite some poor buys, but he has the quality of player there. Now here's to getting our injued players back, moving to a new stadium, avoiding the drop and being a proud bluenose again **thumbup . Keep Right On boys. |
