http://www.blues.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...~751469,00.html The board have issued an urgent and desperate plea for Blues fans to get down to St Andrews and support the team against Fulham I would imagine the majorty of supporters will be there anyway as we support THE TEAM through thick and thin. |

So you don't think that they're worried that a low turnout will mean low gate receipts. Considering most who go will be season ticket holders I think this will be a distinct possiblility. An extra couple of thousand at £15 isn't a lot is it. |

What we could actually do with is some of the players who are not performing actually making a statement to that effect to show all us fans that they acknowledge this, and then tell us what they are going to do about it. Its all well and good the Board pleading for us to go down but if the players dont step up and say sorry for playing crap whats the point. I know at the end of the day the buck stops with Brucey but the players can't get off scott free can they ? |

Both the board, and the manager and players are calling for Blues fans to make more noise. What? Am I missing something here? Give the fans something to F*cking shout about.....like first off, tell that lazy bag of b*llocks Julian Gray to challenge for the ball, 100% effort for starters. Blues fans have never really been overly upset at losing AS LONG AS THEY HAVE GIVEN THEIR ALL.... But thats not happening. Give Birmingham City fans your wholehearted commitment, challenge for those 40-60 balls.....keep running untill your lungs feel like they're going to burst, and then run some more.....tackle, harass, work for each other........why do you think Savage was well liked, Robert Hopkins before him?etc etc..... Give us your all and the fans will make noise......continue to play like powder puff Gray, and you'll find not kjust the noise level low, but attendances dwindle. Don't point the finger at us, look in the mirror. |

That message was written by the board about as much as I wrote A Midsummer Nights Dream It was clearly written by the Commercial Department to put bums on seats, which is all they seem to care about. Football is a strange affair, we are constantly told that it must be run "as a business" but as soon as gates dwindle they appeal to "loyalty" to bail them out. Its hard to imagine David Sullivan writing to all the lapsed readers of The Sport appealing for them to buy a copy of out of "loyalty" |

football clubs are strange things, a monopoly of customers, we are not going else where, but we may drift away in short term. They have a limited customer base, but have to provide sporting success to that base to keep them paying top $. we, he fans, expect something in return, passion, drive 100% commitment etc, but the balance is fine, the players are playing badly, the team do badly, the club suffers, the fans get loyal and behind team, which we will all do our bit. But we seem to also expect sullivan and golds to put even more in, without the guarantee of a return, a gamble? only they can decide what happens with money, and manager, and on the whole they make right decissions, and I back this message, it does not matter who penned it, I am sure gold and sullivan actioned it, and approved its posting.. and hence represents their motivation. I would say that the club as a whole organisation is lacking something, it does not feel like "my" club anymore, they are getting too "them and us", they make silly attempts with fans forums etc, but these are no different to focus groups for shops etc. The club is part of "us", we are part of "it", but at moment I feel it is too much "them" and "those people who pay for it all to happen... of yes the 'fans' " the current staff in various positions don't give a s h i t, and think they are special because the work for the blues, if you are reading this KB please get back to basics, which is customer care!, the fancy stuff will follow... |

like i suggested, penned by assistants, but represented their views. Not blunt enough for sullivan Not diplomatic enough for Gold.... Bradys work, translated by deakin for diplomatic presentation I feel ! ;) |

for gods sake! who cares who wrote the message I belive they did but it dosnt matter the important thing is that it has been wrote, they need us! As for the music I dont really care what it is, it needs to be somthing that creates a thurnderous atmosphere! Who cares if that chap is a villa fan he works for us and wants us to succed too, why are people so negative towards our neighbours, ok I like a bit of banter but like to see all midlands teams doing well the more of them in the prem the better ! lets not get distracted from the post, the board hear us feel how we are hurting they are too but they need us to be there not for money but for the support of the team to help the team get though this sticky patch. we all have job to do to support the lads and brucey on saturday with a sorm of noise ! As I've said before we arent playing that badly just some small mistakes are costing us! we sort that out we will be ok, the lads will want to make amends for the lack of points this season! (as our points tally dosnt reflect our performances this season!) KRO we will be ok ! |

no to be fair he allowed the vote, and he allowed Kieth to play rush more, nothing wrong with that. He has shown he is bluenose, takes time, but these people can be treated and cured... (actually thought he supported wolves, so he knows little about football, so best to keep him in office) ;) but feel brady and deakin write stuff like this, but nothing special, stating obvious really! |

Thats quite an interesting post Sam! Whereas i do not make a habbit of posting on the message board, i do feel compelled to repsond to your "points". I can absolutely guarantee you that the plea for fans to turn out on saturday was entirely David Sullivan/David Gold/Ralph Gold. No Brady re-write or Deakin spin at all in there! Your comments regarding staff not giving a **** is entirely without truth or foundation. I sometimes wish fans were able to see club staff after an evening like Monday. We are all absolutely distraught about the current situation and i can assure you that it hurts like hell for us too!! As for thinking we are "special" because we work for BCFC.. that is just laughable. We care passionately about the club; because if you are not passionate here, or give 100% every single day (and often that is 7 days per week Sam. Not looking for a medal, just pointing out the facts) then this really isn't the place to work, as many have discovered! In order to work for and represent this football club, a total commitment is the minimum requirement and your suggestions otherwise really are an insult to the staff here, who care just as much as you do. Keep supporting!!! |

As a "lad" i was very lucky, in that myself and my brother had season tickets both here and the other club! My hero in those days was the one and only Mark Dennis!! Once i left school, i played every saturday so didn't get to watch either side from then! |
