I honestly felt that the only positive thing to come from such a bad run of defeats was the inevitable sacking of Steve Bruce

Having just read David Sullivan's comments in tonights Mail I have to say that I am completely at a loss.

Steve Bruce has been absolutely mind blowingly incompetent for 2 years now, to say that sacking him would be a "knee-jerk reaction" is frankly ludicrous.

If "being loyal" as Sullivan suggests is watching my team be relegated, then so be it. But I will not be a sap to the boards failing to remove a Manager that is grossly incompetent.

I, along with others, will now campaign to get Bruce removed. The movement starts now. We will try and do so without distraction to the players, but we will make our voices known

BRUCE OUT!

Agree with your post.

However, I suspect DSs statement was designed to rile the fans into campaigning against Bruce, who has already admitted that 'he would know his time was up if the fans were in open revolt' (see main site for the story).

Lets face it, Bruce's resignation would save the club literally millions. The Board cant sack him without a financial penalty, but the fans can make his position untenable.

Sorry Mr Sullivan, I am not playing your game. As much as I want Bruce out, my protest begins and ends on this message board. I suspect others feel the same. Yes, there will be voices of dissent at St Andrews, that is inevitable, but I doubt it will be sufficient for Bruce to give up his huge wage packet.

If the Board sit and watch Bruce take us into the Coca Cola League the financial implication will make a compensation payout look miniscule.

The board will be culpable in the demise of this club's Premier League status by their inaction, and the fans wont forget that. Gates and consequently revenue will fall and may take years to recover. Is that what you want, cos that's what you'll get...

Bruce must go. But dont expect me to do your dirty work Mr Sullivan.

it's funny that somethink the majority of fans think they want SB to stay, the only fans i know want him to stay are on here, everyone i speek to want him out.

me, i'm indifferent to the fact, if he goes fine if he stays fine what ever happens i cant see us saying up.

The more I have thought about it this week, the more I think its time to change manager.

I don't want to be associated with the Negative people on this board that want things to stay as they are. I am Positive and want Positive action to arrest the decline.

Yes, btw, I am saying the people that want Bruce to stay are NEGATIVE.

Another poor performance on Saturday and I will join the more vocal Bruce Out campaign.

It is nothing personal against SB - great bloke. But I refuse to sit in silence and watch the same mistakes being repeated week after week.

Anyone that wants to come is welcome, banners and placards welcome - the press will be there, so make sure you've combed your hair ;)

Because I've supported the Blues since the days of Freddie Goodwin, I haven't got any hair

On a serious note, my opinion is that Mr Bruce has to go, this is the worst home start in the history of the club, we've been crap for 18 months or more, enough now, for the good of the club go.

ps, I wonder what SB will have to say about Fulham this week FFS ..zz..

sorry if this has been posted,

if we get rid of bruce now, who do we replace him with?

I can't see anybody around at the moment that i'd want in charge of the team. I'm not a fan of Burley, he's not really achieved anything other than a couple of seasons in the prem. Then it was back to relegation and derby.

How about bruce getting someone in to help him? Rather than going gun hoe? Dont sack him and then try to find a replacment. Why not Roy keane as assistant player manager, would that tempt him to come to blues?

i tend to agree with seeking help, but it is the defence that is real worry, and bruce is meant to be expert in defence.

I fear that those around him are not doing him any favours,

the fittness guys must be doing something wrong if we are getting so many injuries

the motivators must be doing something wrong as they seem de motivated.

Surely they need something, I spoke to a parent of a mascot of the west ham game, and she told me that the players were all down in the dressing room before the game, silent and "down", whereas the west ham dressing room were playing music, laughing joking etc, maybe something lacking there, Savage and Clinton messing around, etc? need team spirit back...

get motivational guy anthony robbins in, he has helped american football teams win stuff, when underdogs, they need some thing!

If thats correct Sam (and I don't doubt you), then thats sad

We could be radical, we could bring someone in to motivate the team, get the best out of players and organise the training

We could call him a "Manager"

I mentioned it in the thead about him but George Graham was one of the, if not the, best defensive managers. Get him in as a defensive coach/consultant for a short period of time to try and help out with the coaching. I'm sure he could juggle it with his committments with TV stations.

the only thing wrong with getting SB help is i cant remember it working anywhere else it's been tried.

liverpool tried it with roy evans and i think dave bassitt when he was sheffield united did'nt work either.
