this is exactly true. do you remember the first season up against arsenal at St andys? we were singing shoutinggetting behind the team ....................then the lights failed and the atmos disapeared. it might get the crowd going at first but as soon as things dont go to plan then everyone goes quiet and the moans and groans start. |

Hi All I have made my views known to the club on the subject for some time and I wholeheartedly agree that Mr Bluesky simply does not work as an uplifting team-entrance piece. It is a piece of our musical history though and should always be used as the piece of music prior to the teams entrance, in my opinion. Especially the thunderous clapping part at the end which helps lift the atmosphere before the Tamperer (or whatever) kicks in. If I had the autonomy to do so, I would defintely bring the Tamperer back on Saturday. I have received an email from the club on Tuesday confirming that whilst they understand my sentiments, they believe this is not the way forward and consideration is to be given to fresh ideas musically. KRO. |

Excellent! :D It doesn't have much relevence to BCFC though, unless we can suggest a loose lookalike connection between Captain Straker and Jiri Jarosik? |

As much as a lot of us are knocking certain elements of the club, i think it a great that Keith is willing to come on here and touch base with the fans to find out what they really want. |

I still advocate one little victory by rush, but fear that this opportunity will be lost, it has an awsome up lifting sound, coupled with such appropriate lyrics, "another chance of victory, another chance to score... et cetera..." although the stadium sound system could do with with upgrading to cope. |

This is a very important point that many people still have not realised. In the Railway End, ALL of the box speakers have blown and are non-functional. Only the emergency horns work. In the Kop, at least one further speaker is blown, where it adjoins the Railway End. It's therefore no surprise to me that people in the Railway and the OG hear little or nothing. ASL are the company charged with overseeing/fixing these things and I spent time with them recently at the ground during the day to do tests and we ascertained the above quite quickly. I understand that ASL have advised the club of the problem and provided a quote to do the remedial work. I have no idea what has happened since but would urge the club to replace them asap. Further to this, the stadium sound system is "ok" (just!), but the speakers used are appalling. The only area where the speakers now come remotely up to scratch is, ironically, the Main Stand. And this has a bearing on the music played - for example, the trial of We Come 1 by Faithless was wrecked because our speaker system was unable to cope with the tremendous bass - One Little Victory by Rush would suffer a similar fate I believe. We thank you for your response Keith. But if you were any 'real Blues fan' you'd find someway of swapping the tapes, so the Tamperer does kickin as the teams come out! ;) |

**thumbup I agree fair play to Keith Laurent he always comes on and answers any thing we want to know. Its just a shame that although we can voice our opinions to him on what we'd like, that, we can't have a piece of music back that we like even though we fork out hundreds of pounds in Season Ticket money! And I know its no fault of his own cos I know he'd like the Tamperer back to! Looks like theres no chance then... :( |

the tamperer is legendary and blues have had it for many years before the start of every game (not sure how many do any of you) and the atmosphere had been fine till the start of last season due to complancency |

wtf** Just in case anyone from the club bothers to read this forum... 1. ffs just let Keith get on with it without interfering. 2. your consideration of "fresh ideas musically" (like we're Babyshambles or something) has been utter pants so far 3. aren't there more important things that you should be fixing at the moment (such as the majority of ST holders feeling like we are being taken for mugs) ? |

so the 'club' dont believe that the tamp is the way forward! The 'club' seem to know what is best for us....well they are in for a shock because they dont know what is best for the 3 st holders and 4kids with me ,also an st... but they will know next season.....! How many have to complain before it gets through!. The 'Club' ,more like 'THE MANAGEMENT'! Even now some are coming up with other titles ffs leave things as they were! The footie was crap but the tamp was loud..U r unbelievable on here, now 2 people want to speak for 29000 before at least it was 24people who voted it out! |

You want the music changed? Then contact Mr deakin,he is the one who tells Keith what to play.I'm sure Mr Deakin would want to listen to the fans and act accordingly. |

I think that people who want the tamperer back are just trying to kick start the atmosphere from the begining, I personally think the Music at the begning of the game does reflect what the atmosphere is going to be like, As you can see in the last few weeks where the music has changed and the atmosphere has died, although I am not saying the atmosphere was great when Tamperer was played but it was a hell of a lot better as the crowd were pumped up from the start because everyone was involved. |
