Does anyone think the board will be of the same opinion about keeping Bruce if we lose against Fulham on Saturday, I think 15 games is not a knee jerk reaction and I think Bruce has lost the backing of the locker room, also will the board give him the money to spend in January if we are still in the same position then and which quality players afre going to want to come to a team that is in the bottom two and looking relegation in the face, we have to be honest many of our performances this season have been abysmal but to say its a knee jerk reaction is wrong we have been in freefall since january last year and something needs to happen NOW, I believe that if we do lose against Fulham then the time has come for Bruce to leave so that the new man can get in some fresh faces who will play for the team with heart and passion - we need to get the heart back into the team and I don't think brucey can do that because he has lost the backing of many of his players, why I am not sure. But all said and done I will be there backing the lads on Saturday and while there's faith there's hope, so I hope I'm wrong and Brucey and the boys pull it round |

Agree with most of that but I think Bruce will walk anyway if it carries on too much longer. Managers don't hang around if their team is getting beat every week, that's a fact. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bruce quits if we lose on Saturday. Once the severance pay is agreed of course. |

Its not 15 games though is it? Our record stands at present as 14 wins in 65+ league games. Doesnt make for good reading does it? However i think the board will stick to their word and keep Bruce but i dont think it is all about loyalty. It will cost £2mil to sack Bruce, then if we take a manager from another club we will have to pay compensation and then there is funds for the new manager to consider. It would cost too much for the board to do this. If we lose against Foolham then i still expect to see Bruce incharge but i sense that Sullivan is getting impatient. |

Bruce wont walk and they would rather get relegated than pay Bruce off so lets get ready for the championship |

I did say once his severance pay is agreed, he won't walk without a pay off, none of them do. |

but what if Newcastle "in madness" sack Souness and try to get Brucey will we now be prepared to let him go, I think if given the chance we'd bite their hands off and both teams would be happy but following our performances I cant realisticly seeing that happen but hey lets hope (ps who are Newcastle playing this weekend) |

Another home defeat on Saturday could possibly be the final straw. I would think that Bruce and the Board would negotiate a severance pay-off, so that Bruce comes out with more than if he resigned and the Board would pay less than if they sacked him. There would be a "left the club by mutual consent" statement in the press. |

Rubbish!! The board would definitely rather not get relegated, in fact, i think Sullivan would be certain to walk if we did. |

Why is it that people seem certain that we are going to go down? Fair enough we haven't been playing well and we are all fed up of the performances but I think there is enough doom and gloom around the club as it is.....if the Baggies can get themselves out of trouble I am sure we can...I think there needs to be alot more getting behind the team than slagging them and Bruce off at every possible chance. |
