Would that tempt roy to come to blues? Assisstant manager/player. This might give SB the support he might need. It would give much needed guts in the team and a leader thats lacking. I urge the board to spend what it costs to get him at the club. Think about the lose of money from relegation. I dont think we need to spend millions also on getting a few players in. One would do if that quality was roy keane. So to the board spend what you intend to spend in jan now and spend it on roy keane. What you think?

Keane as player/assistant manager is a great idea but i dont think Bruce would go for it.

He has surrounded himself with YES men and keane is by no means one of them. Bruce would feel threatened by Keane and this is the reason why he wont make a move for him.

i just put on another thread this has'nt worked at other clubs.

basicaly because the manager see's it as a threat to his job and in away it's like the board saying there not good enough.

I would love to see the faces of Gray, Pennant, Upson et al if they were sat there waiting for a new manager to be revealed and it was Keane!! :o

There would be more than one waster asking Mario for a lift to Bolton ;)

The sad fact of the matter is that even though he has absolutely no expreience he could not do any worse.

In fact, on a contract to the end of the season he could only help

Yes, even if an agreement could be met until the end of the season that might work, that would give someone like RK the chance to decide what he wants in regards to his future. Instaed of campaigns to get bruce out, how about a campagin to get keane in as assisstant manage/palyer?

Lets go for it!

Get Keane IN campaign.

For this to work we would need to :

- sack Bruce

- make Keane player/manager

- let Keane bring in a more senior figure to assist if he wants to

I would go for that.

As I have said in other threads - Keano as player manager with Sir Bobby as Director of Football/Tactical Advisor etc etc
Then you would have what blues have been missing - Desire, passion, guts, tactical Nous and people who could motivate the team by fair means or foul or a good cop bad cop scenario hmmmmmm wonder who would be the bad cop.
Personally I reckon Keano would be the alex ferguson only scarier, look at what psycho has done at man city - keano would do the same here
Appointing both keane and sir bobby would really put us back on the footballing map

Dunn, Heskey, Cunningham, Upson, Jarosik, Pennant, Gray, DJ, Forsell, Duggary, Clemence, Izzet and Melchiot don't count as good signings then?

You need to ask?

Yeah right, I messed up. Was thinking about people who were still at the club and Duggary, Savage didn't occur to me.

Another great signing though.
