He was very good for his first outing, gave us a solid performance, only one mistake really, and had some good idea going forward.
Great to see another youngster making the grade.

Very good performance from the lad, just shows if SB had the bottle one or two more might do just as well. ;)

Id like to say that we can now mark left back off our transfer wish list, Painter was brilliant. He deserved and took his chance imo. KRO

He done extremly well for his debut.

The 1 thing that stood out for me was he was shielding the ball out towards the T|ilton End, he didn't just shield it out he got right stuck into the Fulham bloke with a cracking shoulder barge.

Did really well, never looked out of his depth, hope he is given a run in the team now, because he is a natural left back who is hungry and has good ability. Looks more defensively solid than Clapham by a mile.

I have seen him a couple of time in the reserves this season and yes he does play centre back. But he is left footed and is better than playing Matty there.

Now do we need a new Right back, if MM is not fit. Tebs is not good enough as today proved at times.

Why not cotterill?

Yes it was a solid performance from Painter, well done. Let's hope he can make that LB position his own, it's there for the taking.

I think DJ should play at RB at the mo, it would give Bruce easier options to choose from in midfield.

Yes, he deserves alot of credit for his performance today. Well done to the lad, and good luck for the rest of the season. Just makes you wonder who else could be brought in to the team and do a good job.

i remember being certain about Darren Carter being a 1st team regular after he showed what passion a Brummie playing for his home town club can bring... and look what Bruce did there :(
