The dilemna is Would you rather we WIN v Manchester United in the Carling Cup and reach the semi-finals and lose the Prem fixture ?? Or would you rather we go out of the Carling Cup and win the big Prem home game on December 28th ?? Well, obviously I'd say the league match is vastly more important, although let's not forget that the League Cup offers European football next season and we are only 3 wins away from achieving it Better still, Blues....to hell with it,let's just go and beat them TWICE....it will put us in the headlines around the whole world for days I guarantee it KRO |

I will be in the minority I think but I would prefer a win in the CC... - it would kick our season more than a prem win... the buzz of getting to the semis would be great right now... - i really want to see Blues in Europe !! Last 4 of the CC is a real opportunity... - one last chance to do the cardiff dance :) There are loads of Prem games left. Whatever our fate there will plenty of twists & turns after the Man U game. We could lose it and stay up or win it & go down. |

i know what you're saying and to an extent agree - but would still take the 3 points first in our current situation. not as romantic i know, but a damn site more beneficial, who knows, it could be the 3 points that keep us up!! ;) |

This is a difficult one to be fair. To progress to the semi's of the Carling Cup would be a great a achievement for this club and to go forward and win the whole thing would be even better - a place in Europe and the ability to attract players of that calibre. However it is not much good being in Europe if we get relegated from the prem. The league pointa are the most important thing at the moment. With the fixtures that we have got over the xmas period, a win over Man U would be a great spring board onto better things. So in conclusion i would like to see a win in the league and a draw in the Carling cup forcing a replay ;) who says you cant have the best of both worlds. |

The drama, the fun, the spectacle of the Leauge Cup means that the CC is far more important in my opinion. I agree that it would give our season the kickstart it needs and would lead to more premiership victories in the future. Go blues. |

Have to say definitely PL and 3pts. CC means more games to play as in FAC,thus tiring players out, more injuries and probably more suspensions. I say get outta the cup competitions and focus on PL for this season. Can always look at next year for cup success. (Blimey, how many years we been sayin that !) KRO....Often Partisan ;) ;) ;) |

Has to be a win in the prem for me, getting to the next round of the carling cup is not as important as 3 points in the league. Them 3 points could go a long way to ensuring our premier status is kept intact at the end of the season. Beating Man Utd at home in the prem would give the players more confidence than just beating them in the cup. Because of the players that Man Utd will play, i think it will be a much weakened team that plays us in the carling cup than in the prem. Who knows we may win them both  |

We are not in luxury position of being able to turn down 3 pts, if there was an option. So why not go for both.... they are wobbling, and a win over xmas would make our position a little safer in league... semi final has to be seen as a bonus. would be good, as long as we avoid arsenal in semi. best xmas for long time... Man City 3 pts Spurs 3 pts Man U 3 pts AND a cup semi final to look forward to. 21 pts, and out of bottom 3, and in last four of cup! come on santa, i have been a good girl this year! ;) |

I'd rather beat them in the cup it's the best chance of us winning something, lets face it, we aren't going to win the league very soon are we? |

I think we should lose both and keep most of the people on here happily miserable. What on earth would they do if they weren't being miserable. |

In my opinion, it was this game and the Chelsea game at home in which he produced his best perfomances of last season. If he plays in these tough upcoming fixtures he might prove to be a handful for them. |
