To me this is him saying that melchiot and jarosik will be leaving in January, two people who have come out and publicly said they don't want to be involved in a relegation battle.

Encouraging words from Bruce though, we all knew we needed to come out with a battling performance like that and we did.

I think this could be the case. I hope Melchiot stays though as if he can recapture his form of last season then he will be great for us again.

Jarosik showed against Fulham there can be a defensive side of his game and that he was willing to tackle back for the ball.

I guess it is going to be a tense January.

None of the players want to be involved in a relegation battle. Why would they?

Perhaps Brucie does, because an all-guns-blazing run-your-nackers-off scrap ought to be straightforward enough even for him to explain to the players.

But I've still seen nothing that tells me Mario wants to leave early. In the past he's always seen out his contract at a club while playing in a professional manner right to the end. Anyone who saw him going down injured (after about 5 minutes!) the other week is deluded if they think it wasn't genuine - if that was faking then he'd have been out of the club by halftime, never mind January, not out on the razz in Dublin with the rest of the lads.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time, but I fully expect him to stay out his contract and when he gets fit again, to play as well and with as much enthusiasm as you'll have seen him do in the 2 away games before this latest injury.
