I was thinking before the game how pleased I was that Boa Morte wasnt playing (a, because he is a cheating get and b, because he is a top notch player). So that got me thinking during the usual mind numbingly boring half time break who are the best over our few seasons in the Prem that have played against us at Home? Can be a one off performance or combined efforts. I'll kick things off. GK - (not allowing any Vile keepers!) Cudicini (best ever save seen at blues imo) LB - Ashley Cole RB - Gary Neville CB - Hypia (I know we have scored a few past them but not alot ever got past him) CB - Zat Knight (Always been impressed with him - can hit a mean pass) Midfield - might not find them in their positions but..... Boa Morte Pires Gerrard - (Obvious choice - probably the best performance of all against us when Heskey bagged for them) Tugay - (Yes Tugay! He has played some blinders against us) Forwards Henry Viduka - (awesome in a bad leeds team and a cracker for Boro earlier in the season) |

Heskey and Pennant were amazing against us for Liverpool and Leeds respectively. |

Goalkeeper, theres been a few that have had cracking performances. GK Dean Kiely - Charlton, when they beat us at home, 2nd season up (i think). LB Ashley cole RB Spurs lad, last season, he scored, but twice made similar 40yard overlapping runs, never gave Stan an inch. CB John Terry - Is there anyone else? CB Hypia - I'm struggling for options, but why not. LW Boa Morte - Always been a handful. - Cheating git tho! RW Joe Cole - For West Ham, last game of the season, when they went down. CM Gerard - As mentioned, pure quality!!!! CM Gravesen - Everton last season! ST Henry - Several occasions, especially our first match against them at home. ST Berkamp - Always seams to be head and shoulders above us at St Andy's. I'd throw Viera, Roy keane, Ronaldo, Saha and Viduka in there if i could in there if i could. But over the time in the Premiership, no other team has performed better than Arsenal against us! IMO of course. |

He never did anything for Man U against blues at St Andrews. I remember Matt Sadler marking him out he game. Could be something to do with a narrow pitch! |
