I dont think it was a pen imo, would have been gutted if that was given against us. Anyway im glad he gave it. Now we sing uriah rennie what ..a nice bloke! Instead of what we normally sing. Win our game in hand against bolton and a gap appears. Long way to go yet but there is light at the end of the tunnel what you think?

I'm glad Spurs won, for obvious reasons, but I would have been extremely annoyed if that penalty had been given against us. No way was it a penalty.

i thought it was harsh when i saw it, but in the programme after they showed it from the refs' angle and it did look like it hit his arm AND his arm was away from his body. if it was given against us i'd say its harsh, if it was for us i'd say a bolt-on penalty.... ;)

Very harsh penalty but it helped us out a little bit!

Spurs were very lucky last night.

From the second angle they showed it did look like he attempted to block it. It was massive that they lost last night though because there confidence would of increased a lot and they would of knocked us back down to 19th. Only Uriah Rennie would of given that pen though

God he's a s**t ref though, god he was awful on Saturday an all,
he has no idea what he's doing.
He's only still referreeing in the Prem because he's only black ref.

Yep hes crap, thats for sure. But we got 6pts from sunderland and fulham which he was ref. And now last night 3pts gained on portsmouth which he was ref. He could be a good omen for us.

They showed a face on replay on Sky this morning and it was handball.

It hit his lower arm and just before it did he moves his arm in a downward direction putting his arm in the way, it would of gone past if it were not for this arm movement - Need to see it again to see if was his momentum or not though.

It's one of those, one week you'll see it given and the next not. I'm sure MOTD will show us another incident similiar to this that was not given.

All in all - well done Uriah - Keeps Pompey in the mire!! and as we are not realistically going to pick up loads of points over the next 3/4 weeks the game against Pompey at the end of Jan is going to be massive.

Exactly.

He did us a huge favour last night as pompey would have held on for the draw.

correct on all accounts - is that saying he's better/fairer than the other refs, or just more of a loose cannon. whichever way you look at it its handball, he is moving towards the ball and his arm contacts the ball!! whats the argument about?

When I was watching the Spurs game Live, I thought no way was that a penalty, after seeing the replays from the refs angle, I changed my mind.

Although I agree with the rest of you, as a referee, he's one of the worse, niggly, ignorant, pompous and padantic to say the least.
