this why it's wrong mate .

i dont think you should lose your home if your wife does the dirty and i dont think they should get the kids autmaticaly either.

if you had done the dirty and ran off with someone else then would you have been able to take the kids with you and get tyhe house and through her out.

i beleive you should look after the kids finantialy but you have the option if you want to have custody of your children if your wife left you how is it your fault why should you pay the price for it.

Even as a woman i agree with you drnick.

Far too many times the courts grant custody to the mother rasther than the father. My brother in law is in this situation at the moment - social services have given him temporary custody of his son as the mother used to really beat him. When she has custody he used to pay maintanence to her but now he has custody she is refusing to pay any money towards his up bringing and she is getting away with it.

Time for a change and shake up in the laws if you ask me.

I was lucky with the fact that my divorce was amicable (well as amicable as can be expected! ;) ) I decided the best course of action was to let her have everything as she was looking after the kids. I would have liked to have custody of the kids but did not want to drag the whole thing on only to make solicitors rich. Anyway I have my kids lots, so is nearly as good!

My m8's mrs kicked him out a few months ago.

He had done nothing wrong but she had been seeing another bloke.

She has never worked a day since they got together so he has worked and paid for everything.

Within a week she had moved her new bloke in to my m8's house with his wife, his kids, eating his food, sitting on his sofa, sleeping with his wife in his bed.

She really took the pish when she expected him to keep paying for things and loans because it was all in his name even though she'd kicked him out.

He's got 3 kids all under 4 and the youngest wasn't even 1.

Now she's saying she doesn't know what she wants. No because the grass might look greener but there's she ite in every field.

Glad I haven't been married. Had a lucky escape a few years back though.
