I think there's too much pressure during Premiership games. Part of me hates us being in the Premiership because the soul of football and the club seems to have been lost somewhere.

No doubt about it.

I am now 20, and been going to games since i was 4/5 with my Dad. Back in the days when we were a laughing stock, the atmosphere was 'special'. Win or loose the fans would be top drawer, having a laugh, getting behind the team. It is not the glorious hsitory why we all started supporting blues, all those ba$tards travel across to Aston once a fortnight to see vile play.
I will never forget the Leyland Daff Cup, the Autowindscreens shield. Blues fans celebrating like mad to win some poxy silverware, it was great.

The 1st 18 months in the Prem was also superb. The fans were just so grateful to be in the big time we roared the stands down each game. Now all of a sudden,a fair chunk of home games the atmosphere is just dieng. Whilst the away support has/will always be great, and the fans will more often than not turn upto support us anyway, the home support is becoming what I call typical Prem club standard.

You go to places like Blackburn, villa, Arsenal and most prem clubs, and there atmosphere is shambolic. By other clubs standards, blues have nothing to be ashamed of, but it has been so much better in the past.
I blame this mostly on ticket prices, meaning older fans who can't afford the prem tickets anymore are left at home, whilst the newer premiership brand fans come in and dull the atmosphere down.
Not having a pop at anyone though, all bluenoses are welcome, but defintly, the atmosphere could be so much better than it is atm. We also have to remember, that for quite a while now, the players haven't given us much to shout about either!

That's exactly right.

The fact is that the golden era of 60s/70s/80s terrace atmosphere has gone. A long term change brought about by pricing, all seater stadia & wider social change.

Would be like spreading the word to try to get people to sing at the cinema or at the theatre or at any other entertainment event. Isn't going to happen. With a few exceptions, it just isn't what people want to do these days.
