Apparently the Baggies are sniffing around him... Surely he'd be a great short term option (and cheap, wages apart)...proven, quick, agressive...don't you think? |

you'd think this would be just up our board's street - low initial cost, short term deal, high wages. I reckon we should be all over this! |

To be fair, Jimmy-Floyd is in a totally different class to the likes of Kenny Miller and Jason Euell. He's a much better option than Earnshaw, Nugent or Jerome for the short term. It's a "no brainer" so far as I am concerned, "that's for sure" ;) |

Let's get in there quick!!! I have come on here and argued against getting Earnie ( I'm sure I'm not the only one! ) But Jimmy is in a diff class. If these rumours are true, and he is looking for an exit, we could offer him a short term answer! What's he or we got 2 lose? |

We'd have been far better off signing Hasslebaink than Sutton. Hasselbaink knows the prem inside out and knows where the net is. |

I agree - Hasselbank is always bangin em in when I see him. However, will he want to be 3rd choice striker at the wrong end of the league? |

This is typical when fans just look at a players past reputation. The TRUTH is Hasselbaink has been pants for middlesboro this season, that's why they want rid.. HE'S FINISHED HE IS NO MORE ANY STORY TO THE EFFECT THAT HE IS AN EFFECTIVE PREMIERSHIP STRIKER IS FALSE. Wake up!!! Do you think the real Hasselbaink would sign forn either Baggies or US???? Probably better of with Miller. That's our ambition, championship wannabees. All rumours that we've bid £6.5million for anyone is a joke. When are we going to wake up. Sullivan and the Golds are taking the mickey and Bruce is masquerading as a premiership manager. Some fans would rather us be relegaed than upset Mr Bruce. Oh dear. |

Stats 05/06 Premiership 7 appearances (8 as sub) - 3 goals UEFA - 4 appearances 1 goal League Cups - 3 appearances 1 goal. No worse than anyone we've got. He'll be 34 on March 27th. Anyone banging in more goals than that at prem level wouldn't be for sale, or would cost a helluva of dough. |

Just check out what the Middlesboro fans are saying. No club lets go a player that is scoring goals. They are worth their weight in gold. I don't think Hasselbaink is the answer. Why do we keep wasting money on has beens or wannabees. It's no wonder we are deep in relegation mire. Jimmy Floyd would have been great 3,4,5 years ago. but not now |

Forget it jedda. SB wanted him about 3 years ago and guess what? He was knocked back so we had to go for Dwight Yorke instead who worked marvels for us. Then again though maybe we will sign him he is starting to fit our bill 1.Getting to his mid 30's 2.Free transfer 2.Wants a final pay day 3.Will start to struggle with injuries 4.Getting past his best In fact I change my mind he is looking more like a birmingham city signing if ever I seen one :o |

You know its good coming back here, makes you realise some people will never change. Ive been gone for far too long and what is one of the first things I read? yep thats right gnrcoma banging that same old drum. Its hard to make me laugh at near 1am in the morning but thank you gnrcoma you have succeeded. Did ya miss me? Being IN BORO and having kept an eye on them I can say that JFH was great for them last season he was our Emile and was just what they needed. I think they will be going for another striker as JFH isnt the best to be around when the preverbial hits the fan, he is VERY temperamental. Id say he'd be a great signing, however the trouble is would he come to us? I for one doubt it. |

nicky butt, dwight yorke, darren anderton and now chris sutton! Who signs for us in the week and guess what saturday comes aroung and he isnt fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o ring a bell perhaps? You couldnt make it up! Yeah will bang the same old drum but like it or not it is there for all to see. Would agree he would be a great signing, great goalscorer but would have preferred at least 5 years ago! We need to be going for younger quality players.....................but alas.........................they cost you money dont they? And by that I dont mean £200,000. |

sorry where is this blistering pace of hasselbainks  it makes me laugh that if we did sign him on a short term deal, likely on huge wages, and then in the summer made it permanent, everyone will moan come august that all we've done is sign a player we already had here. since when is it wrong to go after talented youngsters in the championship or below. call me mental if you like but id much rather have liller or jerome, or nugent , or mcleod or the 150 other forwards we've been linked with, becuase they are hungry and have years to improve and stay with birmingham city. the problem we now have is that we dont have enough hungry players who want to be at this club, rather than any club who will pay them. jimmys a decent player but he's got a big bottom and would be a massive waste of money. |

Hasselbaink is not a bad shout. According to The Sun today Charlton are competing with West Brom for his signiture. West Brom would be in pole position with Robson having already worked with Jimmy Flloyd at Boro. I dont think there is much chance of this happening - more likely we will get Nemeth. |
