I would take neither in favour of a younger, pacier striker.

This one keeps coming back. I'm afraid he doesn't inspire me but hope he proves me wrong.

Jimmy Floyd would keep us in Prem no problem.

Well Euell is a good player that personally would not be a concern - the ability is there and he can do a job in an attacking midfield role or as a forward.

I just don't think he's the type of player we need right now.
We need someone who will make opposition defenders actually earn their wages - one that will get defenders turned, and get around the back of them.

I'd be dissapointed if we signed him to be honest. (for the reason stated)

TBH, i think Euell can offer us something. He is versatile and has got pace.

The only problem is hes not THE striker we need. We need an out and out golascorer whos got pace. Euell is not an out and out goalscorer.

Mmmmm. I'd like to see the business case or justification for that one. For a lot of them, actually

I can't for the life of me see any justification in going for Euell, because.
A, He is no better than we already have and,
B He is not the young quick striker we need.
Jimmy Floyd yes, even if he is getting on a bit he is a proven prolific goalscorer in the prem and could work well with big Emile, I would still rather we went for Earnie though.

I agree with ATL. I like and rate Euell but he isn't the player we need right now. But since it appears to be a done deal, I'll stand by Brucey and welcome him - hoping that he's also got something else up his sleeve.

Maybe he will flog Pandiani and bring in Earnshaw or someone else too?

Interesting time.

One thing is for sure, it'd be bloody useful to have someone besides JJ who can shoot from more than 15 yards.

Can we all stop telling Brucie who and who not to sign. If you don't back the manager and he's staffs opinions don't go to the matchies. Imagine trying to sign a player he wants and that player gets to hear the fans already don't rate him before he even put a Blus shirt on.

Fans opinions are part and parcel of the game. If you, as a player or manager, don't understand that people are going to have opinions because they care *so* much then you don't deserve you £25,000 a week that most of us only earn in a year.

Bloody hell, if we took that approach, St Andrews would have less life than the Moon.
