nah can't be bothered to remember it   you had to be there really...then again you're probably glad you wasn't   of course the 70's for me was the Penguin Kit, Trevor Francis, Freddie Goodwin  **thumbup

click here and remember every era....  I Love Era's at the BBC

spoky dokeys, and when we all thought star wars was the first film.

brown crimpliene flairs with big pokets on the side that you used to keep your marbles in.

sherts with colars so lage your mom sowed buttons on your knees so you did'nt have somes eyey out if you turned around to quickly.

playing british buldog and you did'nty want to be last oone caught.

short back and side hair cuts that resembled adhol hitler.

platform shoes with a sprayed red dy on them.

and checked socks.

i could go on but that was the gist of what i can remember anyone else remember.

:D

British Bulldog now there was a game for the playground

I also remember that my junior school (timberley) did not allow footballs in the playground - so if you wanted a kickabout the only item allowed was a ball made from socks  - I tell you what you knew about it when the ball got wet and it hit you in the face - not only did it sting - but you stunk for the rest of the day - even worse if the ball had been used quite alot

i remember never playing to get into St andys because most kids were put through the turnstiles on the same "click" as the parents - some of the crowds were really double official numbers!!!

some of the crowds were really double official numbers!!!

Funnily enough I was thinking exactly that on Saturday. It was when they announced that the game was a sell out; made me remember the days when the "official attendence" seemed to be a random number.

Many times the tannoy announced "Today's attendence is, say, twenty eight thousand and something" and folk would start laughing & wonder how the **** they'd squeeze another 17,000 people into the ground.

yerah, really speaking we shouldn't have allowed that. no wonder we struggled with money down the Blues... Karren soon changed it all.

Nope.

R&J's was halfway up Smallbrook Queensway (opposite Faces or Snobs, can't remember which). The Dome was on the Bristol Road at the top of Smallbrook Queensway.
