British Bulldog now there was a game for the playground I also remember that my junior school (timberley) did not allow footballs in the playground - so if you wanted a kickabout the only item allowed was a ball made from socks  - I tell you what you knew about it when the ball got wet and it hit you in the face - not only did it sting - but you stunk for the rest of the day - even worse if the ball had been used quite alot |

Funnily enough I was thinking exactly that on Saturday. It was when they announced that the game was a sell out; made me remember the days when the "official attendence" seemed to be a random number. Many times the tannoy announced "Today's attendence is, say, twenty eight thousand and something" and folk would start laughing & wonder how the **** they'd squeeze another 17,000 people into the ground. |

Nope. R&J's was halfway up Smallbrook Queensway (opposite Faces or Snobs, can't remember which). The Dome was on the Bristol Road at the top of Smallbrook Queensway. |
