The Beatles would of been great but more recently Talking Heads, Depeche Mode (in their heyday), The Smiths

When REM next play in the uk I shall move heaven and earth to get to see them - but on the whole I have never been to a real concert - unless you call watching tiffany in the bullring a concert.
Although I nearly went to see Big Audio Dynamite at the odeon but mick jones (lead vocals, ex clash member) went down with some really bad throat infection and cancelled the gig.

The Doors

The Who in a cramped, sweaty club while they were on their way up, I've only seen them in their twilight years.

The Small Faces

Ooo I saw the Killers in Vancouver, Canada and again twice last year in Brum. I saw Hard Fi at Hyde Park and before Xmas in Wolverhampton, I saw the Kaiser Chiefs 3 times last year and am seeing the Arctic Monkeys in two weeks time at the Academy.
I've seen The Jam many times as well as Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, The Furs, Korn, Slipknot, Faith No More, Lostprophets, Amen, Bloc Party, Muse (x 6), Coldplay, Damned, Funeral for a Friend, Futureheads, White Stripes, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, Snow Patrol, Keane, Radiohead (x 3), Maximo Park, Linkin Park and many many others

But the one I'm looking forward to (apart from the Arctic Monkeys!) is Editors! Great album and should be good in the hometown gig!

If you like the Editors, check out the Jug of Ale in Moseley on week nights as they occasionally play there under different pseudonyms.

I would also like to point out the Brum band are managed locally by The Catapult Club home of the equally ace Distant Signal (shameless...sorry!)

I better not call them my band (for fear of a kicking from our lead guitarist and singer) but yes!

We're a bit more up-tempo and 'rock' than The Editors.

If you want to listen to us go to www.myspace.com/distantsignal.

Bob Marley and I had the chance to see him too, he was playing stffs bingley hall and the clash were on at Barbarellas, me and my mate disscussed it at great length, neither of us had much money so we went for the clash instead thinking Bob would tour again but of course he died instead :( . Not happy, missed the greatest influential artist of the 70's (IMO).

Went on to see the clash 3 times as well. ;)

Have seen in my time, sex pistols, stranglers, Paul weller, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Genisis, Suzi and the Banchees, Specials, The Beat, Selecta, Burning Spear, Third World, Denis Brown, Black Uhru, the La's Charlatans, Reef, Super tramp, Terror Vision to name but a few **thumbup
