i think its a refreshing change to hear a band sing with their accents instead of a mock american one ;)

I knew that would get a reaction! Cracking lyrics and catchy tunes but I still think they force their accents though!

Unless that was a dig at the mighty Distant Signal, british pop-punk or emo bands who force American accents are even worse (Lost Prophets, FFAF and that c0ck from busteds new band).

If you like the Editors, check out the Jug of Ale in Moseley on week nights as they occasionally play there under different pseudonyms.

I would also like to point out the Brum band are managed locally by The Catapult Club home of the equally ace Distant Signal (shameless...sorry!)

**thumbup

nice one will do

is that your band by any chance? any think lined up?? demo tracks to listen to??

I better not call them my band (for fear of a kicking from our lead guitarist and singer) but yes!

We're a bit more up-tempo and 'rock' than The Editors.

If you want to listen to us go to www.myspace.com/distantsignal.

sounds good

where and when do you play most your gigs? may come and check you out if possible!!

Band I would have loved to have seen: Specials

I did see a watered down version of them about 8 years ago in Victoria Park, East London at a free festival.

Bands I still want to see: Killers and Linkin Park (are they back from their rest yet?) I would really like to see UB40 as well. Every time I see them on TV or hear them on the radio I think they must be fabulous live.

I saw the Specials at Barbarellas great gig but spoilt by a bunch of skinheads who started zieg hailing and fighting.

Barbs was a great venue, not to big so you really felt close to the band.

I was listening to Radio 6 (I think) last night and there was a 2 Tone special on where a guy from the Specials was saying that at one point they couldn't play a gig without it kicking off! I even think that Messrs Dammers and Hall got arrested one time whilst actually trying to stop a riot

Still, would have liked to have gone all the same **thumbup

eminem

he's still alive/touring aint he??

eminem has stoped touring now due to looking going more behind scenes to do produce more than record....

I was lucky enough to work on the first anger management tour for three days at the milton keynes bowl and that was amazing to stand at the from of the stage and watch him belt out his numbers......

Also this was the first time 50 had played live in the uk with his then no1 tune "in da club"....

The good times......

Thanks! Our management tie us in to playing Bar Academy (opp Toys R Us) and Jug of Ale in Moseley. But we sometimes venture to JBs Dudley and a few black country pubs.

Sadly no gigs until April, when our bass player is back from secondment in Scotland.

i caught the last 2 minutes of the proclaimers set at Guilfest this summer. I was gutted as my Brothers band were on another stage and there set didn't finish in time for us to make it to see the proclaimers. I also managed to miss the the Pouges as well!

I wouldnt worry mate the pogues are not the same without shaun mcguire.

I saw them years ago ant the lacarno in town. I remember one memorable song where he banged his head repeatedly with a tin tray. Total nutter!

top quality though for entertainment - i'd also have liked to see the happy mondays in their best period, they were good but of course, substance abuse took them over far too soon

It was a classic, and a true one off as old shaun is sinking quicker that he can sink a pint.

Saw the happy mondays don't remember much apart from the bass being so loud I thought it was affecting my heart.

Who's Shaun McGuire?

If you meant Shane MacGowan then you'd be as peeved as me to hear that he was performing with the Pouges that day!
