I would guess the language of the keyboard is set incorrectly try this.

Start>Control Panel>Regional & Language Options>Click on `Languages` tab>on the `Text services & Input Languages` click on details and select the United Kingdom Keyboard.

That should do it **thumbup

Sorry - we did what Trev said and it worked for us. :(

Is it a new keyboard - can you phone the supplier?

Otherwise, do a search on google for help.

If you are Using XP ??

Control panel >
Region & Language >
Regional Options Pull Down should be set for.....English United Kingdom.

If it shows it already..... set it to "English - US" and Apply....

Then re-set it to
English United Kingdom & APPLY again.

Come out of all progs and reboot.

Trev you're right, every keyboard that has the @ mixed up with the " is because the language settings are wrong..... there is no other reason. all the settings in the regional and language have to be set to UK.

And apparently many of them default to US English. :(

they shouldn't do. once set in XP they shouldn't revert to US. the only thing i can think of is when the keyboard software was installed the UK settings wasn't selected.

have a look at this thread...look at the pictures i posted, this is how your settings should look. Click here

this is a well known problem with XP and has been on this forum loads of times, maybe we should have a section for regular asked questions..... like will we go down
