Sullivan On Five Live

Didn't hear it all, but:

He's not very happy with the attitude of some players - missing club events, not giving what he considers to be 100%.
He feels like he should go into the dressing room and talk to them, but thinks that would be stepping on the manager's toes
Has gotten to the point where he can't stand players and agents, everything is weighted towards them
Is promising a tougher approach to the players in terms of what is expected of them, and the wage structure

From what I heard I honestly think that he understands what the paying supporter thinks and feels.

Scarily enough, the more I hear from Sully these days the more I find myself in agreement with him

I hope he treads on more than the managers toes!!!! - He owns the club he should start acting like he does and laying the law down.

I don't want to hear him back Bruce - if he wants to keephim that's his cjhoice but he should also make it clear (publically) that he is not satisfied and maybe lay down a marker for Bruce to define the point beyond which he will not tolerate any more. Although if last night wasn't that point I don't where it is.

Maybe he's only backing Brucie publicly. We dont know what goes on behind closed doors, they have to appear to be putting on a united front.

Given the current situation with the team, the fact that he didn't get his casino
and his occasional comments about wanting a London club / Cardiff etc, I'm
not sure how much longer he will be around.

Just heard a repeat of his interview on Five Live. I agreed with every single word he said & it was fantastic to hear a club owner speak like that. I hope that he sticks around.

Agreed too about David Sullivans comments on that interview.

I would rather he would get himself into the dressing room and pop down the training ground to see exactly whats going on then just allow either players or staff to keep disrespecting the club and us supporters. I detected a doubt over his view on the lack of discipline that Bruce was enforcing on the players too......

I disagree with him, the only players i'm seriously questioning the commitment and effort of are Mario Melchiot and Julian Gray - and lets face it not only did Bruce sign both of them but its not like he didn't know what he was getting (they had been accused of the same before)

Same goes for Nicky Butt who's started to put it in of recent - the fact remains everybody knew that he didn't even come close to putting it in at Newcastle - and who signed him?

Talk about Izzet and Dunn etc not wanting to get fit (not mentioned but perhaps hinted slightly) is rubbish - why does Izzet throw himself into a block 5 minutes into a return game if he's purposely taking the ****.

In my eyes the players even put it in Tuesday (bar maybe Tiny - who on his day is decent but is simply too nice to be a professional center back) - they just aren't very good.

The buck stops with Brucie for signing them and is further compounded by the fact he can't use them effectively/get the best out of them.
