Its time for three players never to play for Blues again. 1,Maik Taylor, has to be the worst keeper in the Prem,he's to old and past his very average best,All the money Bruce has spent and we have him.Sold the best of the 3 old timmers to Leeds. 2,Martin Taylor, who tries his best is never a Premiership player! never, what a waste of more money by Bruce. Got rid of Purse. 3, Forss! as much as we have all loved him in the past he is finished,he has not produced anything at the highest level all season long. Should have kept Pandiani. |

Have to agree about the Taylor-Purse comparison Purse whilst not true premiership class would cetainly not have wilted like that waste of space Taylor - Plus he'd at least dish out b*****kings on the pitch. |

Maik Taylor - are you completely insane?!?! This guy is consistently rated in votes by other teams fans as one of the best prem goalies going! He's one hell of a step up from Benno - christ even this season he's been saving penalties from the likes of Arsenal. Martin Taylor - you may have a point. The Forss - I'm not sure you're right there. If we play the ball to his feet he is lethal, and he is showing signs of regaining that spark he just needs some half-decent service! |

I can agree with you on the Martin Taylor bit. I'd take Purse over him any day. But in my opinion Forssell is slowly but surely coming around (by next season i imagine he will be back at his best. I only hope its with US in the PREMIERSHIP), Maik Taylor is better than most, and Pandiani was no great loss. |

Totally agree. Taylor has been quality since hes been here. Okay hes had a few off days but no more than anyone else. Being a keeper i know that mistakes are often highlighted as most of the time a goal is conceeded because of them. |

maik is the most indecisive keeper in the league and have said it since he came to the club. no keeper in the prem flaps as much as him.yes he is a good shot stopper, but that is the very least a premiership goalkeeper should be as that is there job!!!! bruce falling out with purse was a big mistake!! yes he wasnt a world beater, but without his performances in the first half of our first seaosn in the prem we would have gone down then. dont forget we picked up 20 plus points before he got injured that season. |

I disagree with the Maik Taylor comments, I think he's a damn fine keeper and it's not his fault if he's placed alongside 10 lacklustered outfield players. Losing Savage was our biggest blow, but he wanted to go. I can't really criticise Bruce's signings, before they signed most were eager to get these players at the club. I question Bruce's motivational skills, is it any coincidence that in our Premier League history our top goalscorer has more often than not been an on-loan player! I think we have too many players who do not really want to play for Birmingham, until we start signing players who are 100% commited to the club we can only ever hope for Championship football at the very most. Forssell never wanted to come to Birmingham, neither did Butt. AFA other strikers are concerned, Morrison and Pandiani couldn't hit a barn door from 10 yards. |

how anyone can have ago at pandiani is beyond me. he was only given 10 minuets here and there and played out of position and had to suffer hoofball. if your gonna slate him then do it when the bloke has played about 10 full games and in his correct position. |

It was obvious the guy was a bag of s**te as the last season ended and no way should bruce spent all the pre season chasing him OMHO. |

Agree with comments about Martin Taylor, but I think Maik Taylor has done a godd job for the club, the best keeper we have had in recent times. Considering how much time and energy Bruce spent chasing Pandi, he never really gave him a proper run in the team. |

at the end of the day he's yet another signing who never really wanted to come to the club in the first place. |

Maik Taylor - Disagree, hes not that bad a goalkeeper, he's earned us more points this season more than some of the outfield players have. As the saying goes too "a goalkeeper is only as good as his defence", and on that note that says a lot about our defence most of the time this season. Martin Taylor - Agree, his concentration levels are not the best, i could be wrong, but i'm sure at Welshburn before we signed him, he mainly played as part of three centrebacks and he always looked comfortable in that role, never looks entirely convincing in a flat back four....... Forssell - Too early to comment, he had a serious injury. It normally takes around 6-8 months of regular football for any player to fully recover from that injury setback. I think we'll see the better from him next season...... As for Pandiani, i also agree he should never have been signed. The biggest mistake last summer was spending the majority of the transfer budget on two strikers, when other areas of the team/squad needed attention. I think because the team is built around playing to Heskeys stengths he could never adjust. Half the time he just looked like a passenger and i doubt he would ever have come good within the style of football we play under Bruce.... |

he has cost us several points this season by making basic errors: everton & newcastle this season to name but two games this season he has cost us valuable points, that would mean we would be out of the bottom three. ans also his job is to make savesm and that is what he has done this season, sadly he has also made to many very basic mistakes, and has not taken hold of his defence and given them a rocket like evry other keeper would do after the first two goals on tuesday |

I think thats my real concern about him, I think he's a good 'keeper, and I can forgive a mistake or two, but he is too quiet for my liking. He doesn't organise, or get at anyone But then again, we don't have anyone like that now. |

Maik Taylor - have you lost the plot? Although hes made a couple of mistakes, every keeper in the Premiership does. What people forget is this season hes faced more shots on goals than the season before. Why? The people infront of him. Martin Taylor - you lost me at 'tries his best'. The gentle giant, or Timid Tiny, has no bottle, no effort, and no concentration. A lumbering oath and I'd rather have Purse anyday. The Forse - is just coming back from serious injury. Is NOT finished, and words from our wonderful master - it'll take a year for him to be back to his best. Try next season. Yes hes been ineffective. So has Heskey, so has Sutton so was Pandiani. Are they all finished? Yes, we should have kept Pandiani at least until the summer. |

Pandiani was our only goalscorer we had, his first touch may have been poor and he was as slow as a turtle but he could put the ball in the net when a chance fell his way which is more than can be said for Heskey. Pandiani's goals to minutes played ratio was the best of all our strikers. |
