They sum the whole situation up very nicely and say it far better than I ever could.

Yes I am sure this is going to improve moral amongst the team?? (I don't like footballers) (Alot of players will be bombed out in the Summer whatever).

Why doesn't Sullivan keep his mouth shut, I would have thought a person with his business acumen would know better than to let everyone know what your thinking, or maybe he doesn't give a **** if we get relegated, afterall KB has said we can still turn a 3 million profit.

Happy Days for the Board eh!!!

I'm surprised he kept quiet this long!

'I don't like footballers' quote is great. It just goes to show about the level of some of these players who were asked to attend a day set up for the kids and not attend.

Football or 'a lot of footballers' have lost the plot. IMO.

Someone pay me £1.5m per annum and I'm sure I could spare a few nights a year for the kids.

I realise it's not all - but it does annoy me and I'm glad Sully has got the balls to come out and say it. Issue is what is he going to do about it in the future?

Bolton apparently prepare a dossier on players to see if there 'profile' fits what they need at the club. Our's dossier seems to be based on the back pages of The Sun.

Yeah it takes a lot of guts to simply put it all onto a group of people (half of which are honest as the day is long) - it takes a lot of guts to reveal how much one of them is on, when you're the one who bloody agreed to give him that much in the first place, and the one to back your manager even though whenever he's signed off forms players that form has continued here.

Come of it.

I'm not saying, I don't agree with Sullivan, however I am asking the question will these statements help us to not get relegated or not!

Ask yourself if you were a player who through being played in various roles not suited to you and being part of a team doing badly, then the owner of the company comes out and states he doesn't like footballers and he's dumping a load of them however much effort you put in between now and the end of the season (DURING OUR RELEGATION FIGHT) will this make the players say heh lets give Bruce, Sully and Birmingham 110% or would you turn round and say if he's going to get rid of us anyway what the hell.

At best footballers are overpaid primadonnas with ego's the size of the football pitches they are supposed to perform on, comments like this do no-one any favours especially Blues, it's not about having b4lls it's about common sense and knowing when to keep your thoughts to yourself. Mind you after Sully's support and comments during the Dwight York rascism situation clearly we have a owner who says what he wants and doesn't think about the ramifications.

Oh and by the way don't think there isn't a clever bit of seed planting going on with this statement, for when we do get relegated and Sully sells off our best players so we do not get a fast return to the Premiership but turn a nice profit, then he can turn round and say how he had already said he was cutting out a lot of the deadwood!!!

OK then, so just how DO you get these players to do something useful ?

I'd respond to that if I could understand what it was you were trying to say!!

I'm saying anyone who thinks Sullivan showed balls have got it wrong

And the player I was refering to was Nicky Butt - You signed him when you knew he was off form and completely unfocused. Come on.

Excuse me, but doesn't the manager sign players? What's it to be - blame the board for crap signings when the manager chooses them, or blame the board for interfering should they block the manager's choice of player?

I'm not claiming to have all the answers abblue, however I'm not on Brucies salary.

However it is clear that:

(a) playing players out of position does not help either motivate or create success.
(b) putting a young and talented player like Painter up against Gerrard, when you have a fit Clapham and Stan doesn't improve the player or help the team morale.
©having a manager that has the respect of his players clearly Bruce has lost this.
(d)have a manager that can talk tatics, which players understand and want to employ as opposed to right lump it up front, Hesk you jump and flick it on turn and defend goal keepers kick out.
etc etc etc etc

This hasn't been a problem for a few games this goes back as far as Everton last season, when Dwight Yorke was brought on, Bruce sent Jonty on to tell Melchiot he was playing RB and Mario was to move to RM. In front of the Kop the fans clearly saw Melchiot tell Jonty to **** off and Jonty ended up playing RM, with a Penalty to Everton from a hand ball (Izzett) given by Rob Styles from an attack that came down Blues right handside. Bruce has no respect from the playing staff, most likely the Board consider him a joke but to expensive to pay off and there is no discipline or organisation in the playing staff at all. I posted at the start of this season how at the vileborough game the borough coaches were out working with the players warming them up playing one touch footie and doing stretching exercises, whilst the Blues players were doing keepie uppie. tbf the whole lot of them the Board the manager and the players are a disgrace with few exceptions KB aside who does wonders on the commercial side.

It is sad to see Blues coming apart but one thing I do know statements from Sullivan attacking employees ala players is not going to either improve Blues image in a week when we have been made to look a laughing stock or motivate playing personnel to try and improve.

I've been blaming the manager in general - but at the end of the day they sanctioned the move and they agreed to pay him that much, there's no getting around that.

Agreed, I thought that when I saw the highlights on tv, the look on his face said everything.

can't say i blame him though. i agree with his comments 100% though i also agree it may have been better to have kept his mouth shut at this time. From what I've seen there are too many players who don't seem to give a s**t, Bruce has signed too many players who never wanted to come to the club and that has erroded the team from within. To be honest I can't see that Sull's comments will make us play any worse than we have been playing, look at the performance against the Baggies. Maybe a rocket up their ***** is what they need, but then if that's the case i fear it's too little too late.
