Can anyone explain why with all the injurys we have at the moment, kilkenny, and alex bruce, played last night risking more injury, and while on the subject why did dunn play 70 mins on tuesday when at 2-0 down after 5 mins the game was all but over leaving him on only goes to show that mr potatoe head is not in the right frame of mind to carry on in the job.IMO

the manager can't win (if you'll excuse the pun!) - if he doesn't play people in the reserves he gets accused of not preparing them for match fitness, and if he does, people want to know why they're playing matches when they should be resting.
For all the cash it entails, I am so glad I am not a football manager.

Fair comment but surely these sort of insults can be left to the clarets and the scousers can't they?

A least some of them may be be able to spell the word correctly.

FORSELL has been unfit all season how many games did you see him play for the reserves?,and that was when we had a lot less injury's than we have now .

kilkenny has been out injured & is clearly lacking match fitness so that is why he played in the reserves & dunne needs as much match fitness as he can get.If we are to get out of this mess at all then we really do have to take gambles so suggesting bringing him off when we are 2 down to protect him is rediculous, for gods sake should we ban him from training as well because thats where he picked up his latest injury.
If people want to continually have a go at bruce that doese'nt bother me either way but at least make it plausible for f..k sake.
F....d if he does f....d if he dont. :(

If Bruce's first choice team is

.......................... Taylor
Melchiot Cunningham Upson Clapham
Pennant.... DJ............. Butt.. ....Dunn
......... Forssell Heskey

Then 8 out of his first choice 11 played tonight

or if Stan is his first choice left back then 7 out of his first choice 11

Either way ..... it's not exactly a "decimated" side is it ?

Rags made this very excellent point.

It bears repeating for those who hadn't read it.

Probably because when Bruce took Dunn off early when Manchester City gave us a stuffing there were plenty of other armchair managers questioning his decision to do so

who knows what his preferred 11 is, playing the devils advocat maybe
its this.

taylor

melchiot cunningham upson lazaridis

pennant naftie izzett dunne

sutton heskey

2 sides to every argument, this way half his outfield players are missing.
just an exaple ;)

would also add, forsell would never ever be chosen to play the position he was asked if others were fit & lazaridis unable to physically perform twice in 4 days was the reason he started on the bench & this then resulted in clapham moving to left mid/ painter having to play left back etc etc

2 sides to the story but only 1 is fact

because the only way we can possibly get out of this mess is with players like dunne fully match fit & playing every game all game, if h'es going tp break down then he will but their is no point at this stage trying to nurse him. I dont give 2 hoots if bruce goes I'm just saying their are different ways of looking at things.

My guess is Dunn will pull up with a bad hamstring on Sunday shortly after Man U score their second.

Reckon that means we'll 15 - 25 mins
