The poll in the mail reveals that SB has nearly half the fans support, for the time being.

BLUES fans are almost evenly split on the future of manager Steve Bruce following the club's 7-0 FA Cup humiliation.

More than 1,000 took part in the Birmingham Mail's phone poll over whether it was time for Bruce to go after the defeat.

A narrow majority of 52 per cent of callers said it was time for the manager to call it a day - but 48 per cent still clearly want Bruce to stay.

He has vowed not to quit despite the defeat and the club's precarious position in the Premiership relegation zone and has already been told his job is safe until the summer.

Did the Mail ring David Sullivan 500 times ?

:D

I thought we all took what the Mail said as being rubbish, except when it suits us it seems. :o

Of course the three Aston Villa supporters that I know that voted for Bruce to stay will have been identified and their votes taken out

I think you would be surprised how many blues fans do want to stick with him. I think i only no one person that thinks he should go now.

Im quite happy for him to stay till the end of the season, after that we need some changes I think.

Yes, they did

And I think I voted for him to stay several times

Its a shame they didn't listen :(

I mean, Taylor, poor manager, poor transfers in his second spell, could only play the long-ball game, never varied his tactics, failed to motivate his team, failed to discipline his team, produced one-dimensional, slow-paced, predictable football, clearly out of date and out of his depth

Cor, which football team would be daft enough to employ a manager doing all those things ! <_<
