"We, as a Board, are not satisfied with the recent performances, by both the team and the management of the team As a result we are going to have every player and official attend a meeting this week. We are going to re-iterate to them, the conditions of their employment and what is expected of them. This will include all the injured players as well as all the support mangement team and backroom staff.

That meeting will be confidential, and any person breaking that confidence will be dealt with by internal club discipline. The PFA have been invited to attend alongside their club reps."

That is all the board need to have said.
That is what the board should do. I think the fans would feel satisfied that something was being done at last.

They should treat them all the same, not defend one section and castigate another.

And Gordon Taylor would not have had the need to defend his members, after they had to shoulder ALL the blame.

Good little player for us was Taylor - worked hard up and down his wing, two good feet, excellent crosser. All in a sort of slow, tubby sort of way.

Anyone remember him squaring up to Kenny Burns once when a pass went astray, only for him to wise up and sidle away before any damage was done?

Also the Blues were on that old telly quiz show for football teams. Taylor answered all the questions with our three other lads smiling gormlessly.

Happy days.
