David Sullivan has said that to sack Bruce now would be stupid at this stage of the season. After the Liverpool debacle, if the club doesn't sack him then there is no chance of us surviving this season. The reason they want to keep him is not performances but purely the cost of paying up his contract. A new Manager would shake up the dressing room, start to pick players in their correct position, motivate the squad and replace the backroom staff. You can only blame the number of injuries we have suffered to either the training or poor physiotherapy treatment the players receive. Maybe it is too late to replace Steve Bruce. I have been saying he should have been sacked at Christmas. A new Manager coming in then in the mould of Martin Allen, Mike Newell, Glenn Roeder, Kevan Broadhurst who were all available and who all have a battling approach would also make better team selections than persistently picking a goalkeeper who can't command his area and collect crosses in Maik "Dracula" Taylor, Julian "Bottleless" Gray at Left Back who is a Winger, Alex "I'm only playing because my Dad is Manager" Bruce in Midfield when he is a defender and not make desperate signings like Martin Latka and DJ Campbell. If the club has any respect for its supporters, then they will put their hands in their pockets and refund ALL the home supporters tickets for the Liverpool shambles! I have also heard rumours from sources inside the club that Black and Bullivent set up training session, they start and then Bruce walks onto the training ground, stops the drills and says, ok, change that, we're not doing that, do this and this instead....... |
