... for Charlton. Really pleased to see him making good. Curbishley appreciated his talent and gave whatever it took (encouragement? a place in the team? a style of team play?) for us to see it delivering the goods. He was a bit part player at first, but now seems to be a first choice player. I don't think it is that Hughes has become a better player. Just some unfortunate mismatch between styles and approaches. Hey - Stern John scored at the weekend too... only joking - I mean he did score, but not trying ot make any point. |
