if you ask me there ain't enough Brummies in our side, if there was we wouldn't be in this mess, with steve bruce or not, ...imagine a team full of Brummies???  the fight would be incredible, we'd be kicking every ball with them.

To right, and we wouldnt be worrying about players contract half way through the season, because we know they would pay to play for that shirt.

That's why Carter refused to sign a new contract then ? ;)

Your theory is fine. In the real world we haven't got enough "Brummies" who are good enough though

Actually i have watched him as well, but maybe just maybe i do not watch with a biased mind,  Izetts problem is as soon as he can walk Bruce picks him to play wether he is 100% fit or not and to his credit Izett plays. but as a consequence he breaks down again  and is out for a further lengthy period.

Yeah well my opinion is that i dont rate Muzzy Izzet! Probably the same as you dont rate Mikael Forssell?!

Who said i do not rate forssell...oh yes you. i know you may find this difficult but i do not go and watch one player i watch all of them. and i judge them on their respective performances. I think a fully fit Izett is a big plus point for BCFC, your opinion is your opinion but to call Izett crap is silly. as he is far from crap.

Carter was a good player in his time at BCFC, but thats in the past he is not exactly playing out of his skin at WBA is he. a nice lad but maybe he had his 15 mins of fame at Cardiff.

Excuse you yeah! I do not go down the games to watch just forssell! That is pathetic! Yes he is my favourite player but most people do have a favourite player they like to watch! Its my opinion about Muzzy Izzet like you have yours on him!

Ahh yes the AJ thing.

It took him a season and a half at a lower level before he started scoring regularly.

I remember hardly anyone complained about him being sold at the time. He learnt his trade and become a much more consistent player.

The Hindsight Kings forget that though ;)

I have to say though, a fit Muzzy Izzet is a credit to most teams, and we have only got Muzzy to a 75% fittness level at best. With him and Jonty in the centre of the midfeild we were looking good, but its a shame really, Izzets blues career has never really kicked off.

Those who think we aren't a better team this season when Izzet plays I think would be in the minority.

Those who think we have been a better team in the league with Forsell in it would I also think be in the minority

a side full of Brummies, well let's think about this....

yes, there IS talent in Birmingham/WM, i see it in the parks, in the amateur tournaments etc. Liverpool/London/Manc arent any better than Birmingham.

BUT...

mercenary teams like Arsenal, seem to do well without the locals ;)

from a west brom point of view he has a good game and then 2 bad ones, he has potential but is not consistent enough. to be fair he has not had a decent run of games but in a struggling side like we are you cant afford the luxury of giving him the experiance. i know its a vicious circle, without the experience he wont get better. the fans have never really taken to him either but not because he played for blues. i hope we keep him and i think he could do well for us next year if we go down.but deep down inside i think he would love to go back to the blues.

carter never was good enough to play regular in the prem, but people think because he is a brummie he should be playing ,brucie robson cant be wrong all the time, also his england career has stopped as well,
on the izzett thing ,a fit izzett is an assett to any prem team,he brings a presence to the midfield which we have sadly missed ,but sadly he has been asked to play to quickly which only leads to one thing.

Selling Carter was a starnge 1 imo, because he could of been a squad player. But...after all the local stuff, clinching penalty etc, he will never be good enoguh. Sad but true. I remember playing Spurs last year, ended 1-1, Carter scored. He played well that game and scored a decent goal, but he just didn't have the same impression, passing, cleverness of physique that day of Michael Carrick.

And the finishing would most likely be even worse than Mr. Emile's finishing.

I get the feeling that DC would have and could have been better than he was if he had ever toughened up mentally and been more professional, As it was he wasn't, and still isn't good enough.

I'd have Darren Carter back tommorow!

He was a good midfield player, and he is what we need at the moment. He was excellent after his loan spell from Sunderland, and why we got rid of him, to keep sicknote players like Izzet and Dunn and flops like Butt I'd love to know!

I hope we buy him back next season, when we're in the Championship.

booboy you are right Peer, Frain, Sturidge and Clarkson nearly propelled us to the European Championship but they were all washing their hair on the day of the final days and busy staving off relegation on others. It nothing to do with how local you are rather your ability and a cohesiveness in difficult times.
