But probably Kevin Blackwell, as hes used to doing things on shoe string budget, which our board will love in the Championship.

If you want a good clearout of the dead wood and a team built on youth, there is only one man and that is Dario Gradi. I'd love to see what he could do with a decent budget.

If we stay up then Bruce should be sacked immediately and lets get Curbishley in who looks likely to leave charlton in the summer.

Curbishley coaches teams to play decent football rarther than hoofball, something we have been crying out for over the last 2 seasons.

1. Curbishley

2. Dowie

3. Dugarry (anyone know where he's at these days??)

Kevin Keegan - "no"
Graeme Souness - "no"
Bobby Robson - "no"

I'd also be delighted with Big Sam / Glen Roeder/ Pearcey / Jol / Pardew

What's the Preston manager like? They've pressed for promotion 2 seasons running

The team is rotten and has lost the 100% hard to beat mentality we've been famous for in the past.

With that in mind - the man i'm gonna name may well be a glorified cheerleader, but the championship isn't really a tactical fight anyway. We need to get that hardworking, hard to beat honesty back.

So Martin Allen.

A lot of names mentioned are unrealistic.

Whikst I agree that SB seems to have reached the end of the road, even if we stay up, what we think makes not a damned bit of difference.

The simple fact is that Birmingham City Football Club gave the manager a lucrative 5 year contract which would be a heavy debt to pay out on, should they choose to terminate his contract.

Whichever division we are in next season, Steve Bruce wll be the manager.

I just wish some of you would realise things and see the real picture in the real football world.

The real picture is we are 17th, have struggled all season, are over-loaded with crocks and has beens, likely to be relegated.

In any other walk of life SB would be out the door by now - I just pray that the board bite the bullet and sack him (at reduced compensation) as soon as the final whistle blows at Bolton.

Thats my point. It's all down to financial business.

You could argue that he wasn't backed AT ALL during the january window, why is that? How much will the club lose by keeping faith in a manager who will ultimately lead you to relegation, and all the financial penalties that brings?

The truth is, many of us have been banging on about SB for the best part of this season, whilst his supporters have tried to intimidate and belittle us as people not worthy of being called Blues fans, which is a little hard to bear.

Had the board had the courage to 'bite the bullet' several months ago, we could easily have done a Newcastle or M'boro and climbed out of trouble.

Instead, he repeatedly recalled unfit players back into the action as soon as they could run 100 meters without a walking stick.

If we stay up, it wont be down to Bruce, it'll be down to a miracle.

The fact is that there is not a long lists of candidates that could obviously do a lot better than SB.

also remember that for three seasons we treated him like a god.

Yes he has made some errors in the last two seasons but it is also a fact that injuries have blighted us too. Its not apparent to me that if Bolton or Charlton had suffered as much they would not have been where we are.

If we sack him we may get somebody no better who would have far less resources available as we would have had to pay Bruce off

Give him one more season, i believe he will have learnt a hard lesson from this year and in the long term will be a better manager for it.

If we give Bruce another season we will be in a relegation battle next year - whatever division we are in.

Bruce will still be tactically inept and a poor judge of player in the Championship. Nothing is going to change.

The team of grafters and battlers who's tenacity helped get us promotion and keep us up, and their influentual tactical leader, have long since departed. We are left with a man who is floundering.

In October his supporters wanted to give him until Christmas to turn it around. At Christmas, it was a few more weeks. Those weeks have passed. Now they want to give him another season...???

You cannot ignore the evidence. Bruce is a managerial failure. Deep down, we all know that. He must go.

the board must also be blamed for giving him such a contract in the first place, why give him a ridiculously lucrative contract with ''that cause" when he's unproven
