Just in case he had any doubts how we felt we've now made our feeings known to his face. We should now move on. On his next visit here, hopefully in the Prem next year we should just ignore him.

Isn't that between him and Gold?

What was he doing appluading the Blues fans at the end of the game. To me that shows we really got to him. Saw on Sky his reaction at the first boo. He was shaking his head looking peeved, probably thought we'd let things lie after his "I don't want Blues to go down" interview.

What he did last night was raise the temperature and the fans reaction to him definately affected his performance, apart from the goal that is.

had he not run round like a head less chicken when he scored many more might hve clapped him at the end

fair play to the guy at the end though for clapping the whole ground even though they were singing 'robbie savage what a w*****r'

i honestly think he was being genuine and not trying to wind us up.

From The Times :

As for Savage’s equaliser, Bruce said, with a smile: “That seemed like the ultimate kick in the teeth. Maik’s made a great save, but he (Savage) miskicked it . . . like he did all night.”

Nice to see Bruce getting the little dig in.

We did make our point to Sav but the way he was appluading the blues fans at the end of the game made me feel sick. It just goes to show that everything we sung about him last night was true.

See he's got he's head down today and mouth shut. No comments in the papers and even the Welshburns board is down. So NO COMMENT ;)

I think had he not run around like a headless chicken and shown that he really does like the fans maybe we wouldve given him a better reception at the end. The name AJ springs to mind

I think had he not run around like a headless chicken

why not he did for two and half seasons and for some fans that was enough

was glad he went when he did as felt he was holding us back.

sadly has also become evident that so is steve bruce.

bear in mind our form dipped before savage left

Sorry, I meant when he scored. If he wouldve shown the same maturity as AJ did when he scored how much better would his reception been

sorry i thought it might be was being a bit tounge in cheek

also, personally thought he was crap last night as well and was not up for the big occasion and went missing for the majority of the game

I liked the way he wouldn't take any corners! He does normally tho.

As much as I disliked him before us and dislike him now, i do believe him clapping at the end was not a wind up.

I think Savage did actually mean it when he went to clap the fans at the end. I will give him the benefit of the doubt there.
The real story was how badly he played. He was never in the game. Yes he scored but he was nothing like Savage of old.
Johnson had him in his pocket and even Sadler crunched him with a tackle.
As for corners, he stopped taking them when he went to Welshburn but he stayed on the free-kicks.
I think £3 million was a great price for someone whose best days are behind them.
Just a shame we didn't reinvest it, and more, in a top class replacement.
I wonder what was going through his mind in the last three minutes plus injury time when all you could hear was 'Robbie Savage what a w*****!'
Also, fair play to Julian Gray. He made a massive difference because he's got energy pace and can last 90 minutes.

we were poor before he left last season

as i have said else where and several times, our form is nothing to do with savage goiong but the fact bruce has not got the best out of the players or being able to adapt the players we have now got.

Watching him play reminded me how pleased how I was when he left. Yes it is true we haven't replaced his influence on the team but let's not pretend he was a great player!
