Yeah....he'll 'make it' all right Probably in League One which is about his barrel and the division he came from Another Bruce 'DISASTER IMPORT' "no" "no" Funny, this kid can't even make the bench anymore to compete with our THREE other strikers who have all scored less than 10 goals between them this season........Think that says it all for me |

The way we write players off before they have had an appropriate opportunity to prove themselves never fails to amaze me. :( |

Because he's made a huge step up and at the moment should only be considered in the same way as one of our youngsters in that he has a lot to learn. I'm willing to give players that opportunity? Are you? Or should we always go for players who are already established but would cost a bomb rather than risk what amounts to peanuts on an unproven player who might eventually prove to be a good acquisition? It would be nice if we were in Manchester United's or Chelsea's position of having the mega bucks to splash out on proven goalscorers, but even they take the occasional risk on 'unknowns and unprovens'. Even when they sign the sort of player we could only dream about signing, they have the luxury of being able to put them into their reserves rather thasn straight into the first team. Campbell was worth the risk. Whether he eventually makes it or not, I'm unsure, but he still does need time to turn his headless chicken approach into a more potent style. |

Far too many people are dismissing a lad who 18 months ago wasn't even playing as a professional! He's not going to dislodge 3 experienced prem professionals yet so give the kid a chance. He's obviously been bought for two reasons 1. If we do go down he would be able to hold his own in the lower div (sorry can't bring myself to call it 'championship' - far too pretentious!). 2. If we stay up we have the pre-season to get the lad adjusted to playing in, and with, prem players. [/QUOTE]The word Headless Chicken quickly springs to mind
