MANAGER Rod Brown has vowed to go all out to win the Errea Southern League Cup Final.

Bromsgrove Rovers take on Hitchin Town in the second leg at the Victoria Ground on Tuesday, April 25 (8pm kick off).

Rovers need to overhaul Hitchin's one goal advantage to lift the club's first silverware since 1996.

Brown has promised fans to go on the attack to win the cup.

He said: "I want to win this cup and I've already got a system in mind to help us.

"We're only a goal down and that means we know what we have to do and that's score goals.

"We can't go out defensively because the pressure is on us.

"But if the fans get behind us then I'm positive we can win the cup."

Brown hinted that he has already formulated a system that will allow Rovers to get forward in search of goals and make sure Hitchin, who are from the Premier Division, cannot grab an away goal.

He said: "We've got to get two goals to win this game and if they score one we'll need three. It's important that we defend properly, so we can't go gung-ho. If we do then Hitchin are good enough to punish us.

"But the team has raised its game every time we've met a big team and beaten them so we have nothing to fear."

The Bromsgrove Rovers' boss has a full strength squad to choose from, apart from key defender Exodus Geohaghan, who is suffering from a minor back complaint.

Rovers' boss has also urged his players to warm up for the cup match with a rousing performance at home to Dunstable Town on Saturday (3pm kick off).

Rovers were lacklustre in their 2-1 win over Stourport Swifts and Monday's 1-1 draw with Solihull Borough.

Brown said: "The first half against Stourport was awful. There was no commitment or passion in the first half.

"I gave them a rocket at half time and they improved.

"Solihull was a non-event between two mid-table sides and it was awful to watch.

"But we have a cup final coming up and I hope the players can raise themselves for two big home performances."
