Walks out of Rangers this month and Talk Sport were already discussing him for the vacant Charlton job this morning. It is also possible Boro might look at him if McClaren gets the England job. If we could persuade him that we are a better long-term bet than Charlton, what do you think? Not many Championship managers have got to the knock-out stage of the CL. And he's used to clubs with high expectations!! I personally think he would be ideal for Blues. **thumbup |

yes, i like McCleish too and part of me thinks that he'd be suited to starting in the Championship before managing in the Prem. our club would be a good bet for him too. good shout. |

Good shout - hadnt really thought of him to be fair. If we were in the prem then we would stand a chance of getting all these managers who have been banded about - however i fear that they wont want to drop down a level. If brentford dont get promoted then i expect we will end up with Martin 'mad dog' Allen :( |

We should have gone for George Burley when he was available. |

If rumours are to be believed he is being lined up as the new manager of Boro if McClaren gets the job. One lost oppurtunity there. |

No its too soon since he joined Southampton I also agree that Burley should have come in at Christmas - hopefully we can get McLeish though - its common knowledge that if McLaren gets the England Job Tony Mowbray (of Hibs I think) will get the Boro Job (he's Boro through and through) So Yeah Charlton will be the only other real competition. Hopefully we can snap up McLeish before any discussion takes place. |

I can't name anyone better than Mcleish who would be willing to come to Blues. Keegan is the only other name I could come up with. Curbishley wouldn't come. If you have a better option, please tell me. Mcleish has a good record on limited resources. |

keegan would be the don. At least we'd see some exciting fottball and goals. Let him get us up and then get rid of the curly head tw**. If we were to get martin allen It would be Barry Fry all over again |

What's not to rate?????? His record at Rangers Games 234 Won 154 Lost 36 Drawn 44 First Scottish side to qualify for post Christmas European competition Knocked out of CL by Villareal (semi-finalists) 2-2 at Home 1-1 Away Appointed 13.12.2001 Transfers Money Spent £28,320,000 Money Brought In £43,925,000 Net income £15,605,000 So he only spent around the same as Bruce spent net but managed to bring in a lot more. Or is it the fact that he's been managing in Scotland and that's why you don't rate him??? |
